I think the President is in a vice. If he resits these measures and it spreads they will crucify him. This happening in the middle of a election year is just an awful aspect of this. It distorts every move, he has no choice but to go along or they will destroy him. He cannot do the calculation of damage to the country versus attempting to contain.

DjT's base is as solid as I've ever seen. His flipping on the WuFlu may be the best option. It won't make or break me personally.

If this shutdown had put me out of business, I would likely have a very different opinion....an opinion that might discourage me to vote in November.
