They weren’t selling cars anyways.

Might as well blame it on the virus and look for a bailout.

Sure, why not. The government is going to pay them whether they make cars or not. It appears money does grow on trees.

Afraid so. I imagine the UAW will expect the companies to keep paying the workers anyway though.

I’m gonna go outside and hug my Challenger.

I hope it doesn’t get the virus.

Yep. Trillions in corporate bailouts incoming.

Last night I was thinking a $5 trillion bill for the Wu Flu Panic. This morning $10 trillion. Now I expect it will be more than that.

That occurred to me too, that car sales are probably cratering, so it would make sense to stop production for that reason.

Wife works in upper management for a tier one supplier for both GM and Ford. She just said they told her this morning this is not true. She doesnt deal with the upper management, just middle management at both so it could be her contacts are not in the know, but this is current first hand info.

Each plant had a case of the virus. Passing the thing down the assembly lines was not a gamble the manufacturers wanted to take, plus there is the added bonus of messing up Trump’s presidency.

Not likely, they'll get unemployment and SUB pay which will equal 95% of their pay.

Honda already announced a suspension of production today.

Unlike the Big Three, Honda was honest about it. They basically said it was due to a crash in car sales.
