Media will spin this some how.
A bunch of people who never really get the appreciation that’s due them.
Looked down upon and ridiculed by our coastal elites.
Starbucks and Whole Foods would be empty without them.
Thank you, Guys and Gals. Stay safe out there!
I wish this were true here in Colorado. Shelves have been bare for weeks.
When this stuff first started getting serious I told my wife the people we most need to keep working and supporting are the truckers. If they shut down the entire supply chain shuts down then the riots start.
Quite true. If you bought it a truck brought it!
truckers are one of the unsung heroes of our country, as are the folks who come out in at all times day and night and all kinds of weather and temperatures to repair our water delivery systems, our electrical power delivery systems, sewer systems, and our internet and telephone communications systems, as are the EMTs and doctors and nurses who help keep us alive ...
Et tu Breitbart? I am all for honoring truckers, farmers, shop keepers, etc... but this overblown Chinese flu nonsense is so far out of proportion to the actual risks that it is absolute insanity.
I saw a huge semi trailer parked at the Safeway loading dock yesterday and the meat cases were back to being full. I thought about those great people keeping the lifeblood coming to us.
Also all the unsung people in the factories that manufacture the food as well as all the workers in the many distribution centers and warehouses all over the country.
Let’s not forget all the workers in the myriad data centers and on the cell towers all over the land who keep these bits flowing.
Without a doubt.
God bless our hard working truckers.
God bless them.

Reliance on any one system is a bad idea. I am of the opinion that the US rail system is nearing the breaking point. We simply need more train tracks and distribution centers.
Worth some Chick fil a
And for the minimum wage people who work those stops, too.
Meanwhile, the national association that represents independent truckers is all over the governor of Pennsylvania for his decision to get this CLOSE ALL THE HIGHWAY REST AREAS IN THE STATE.
My dad drove a truck for over 50 years.
He had the classic trucker’s tan. Right arm pale as a ghost. Left arm tanned like a lifeguard.
A very sad day was when we had to take away his driving privileges.
I miss that old fart.
That’s a big 10-4, good buddy.
P.S. Love Red Eye Radio. Garry and Eric are great!
I’ve been reading that with the closing of a lot of roadside services — restaurants, truck stops, even rest areas in Pennsylvania — truckers’ jobs just got more challenging.
Just at the local gas station/party store. Its the local watering hole for us old geezers to spin the yarn.
Attendant said her boss gave her a heads up that she was informed that all establishments that carry, or sell food perishables will be required to shut down and, one, either go to window service only or two, delivery only.
We asked her when? And she said that it is being seriously considered.
That includes truck stops.
By the State-at this time.
Dam these panic sobs.
