Any other time many here would say a person with 4 degrees from MIT is the last person anyone should listen to about anything.

Just saying...

If ya’ll want this pulled because of his outrageous claims, let’s do it.

I’m not perusing his twitter account to see what lies he’s pushing about himself. That he is pointing at the Deep State and Dems about this ‘outbreak’ is what got my attention.

I’ve often pointed out that where Nixon was said to have an enemies list it has been the Left that not only has them but weaponizes the government to help make use of them.

Indeed, before the election in ‘16 I had been expressly pointing out that the contrast between the corruption that the Left was even then alleging of Trump before he’d ever served one day in high office was improbable, especially in comparison to Clinton who had already been corrupt while in high office (which Leftists just didn’t care about because the seriousness of the charges don’t go that way).

In particular I had been pointing out that even if Trump wanted to be corrupt he would have the learn the ropes of DC corruption and build a network all while the press was watching him like a hawk for the smallest infraction ... contrasting that with Clinton who not only had that particular skill set AND a network of accomplices but that she would be protected at every turn by the same media out for blood against Trump.

Simply, the worst that Trump would be if he were to choose to be corrupt in high office paled next the the best we might hope from the Clintonistas (I’m possibly not alone thinking that had Hillary won it would have been Trump “hanging himself” rather than Epstein while Justice Thomas would have slipped in the shower or Roberts had a car crash by now too).

And predictably the Left, every TDS one of them now, didn’t care one jot.

I think, considering the behavior of the Left and the press subsequent to the election, what with things like perjury traps for Trump’s people (get them any which way they can) while the deep state still tries to shamelessly exonerate any powerful Democrat, that my thesis has held up well.

I’ve heard this well thought out axiom: He is educated well beyond his intellect.

With all due respect, I manage engineers. I have had several from MIT and they are brilliant engineers, every single one of them. But many of them - not all! - were socially awkward or kind of clueless about real world stuff. So throwing out "he has four degrees from MIT" logical fallacy - the argument from authority - doesn't work for me.

The idea that the deep state is generating a crisis may have some merit but the idea that Trump would support suppressing dissent (the dude thrives on it!) or mandating certain medicines is just nutty.

That's a good one, I'm going to have to remember that.

One that a friend said to me in the past went something like "Just because you're smart or good at your job doesn't mean you don't suck at life."

That was my experience with the one that most sticks out from my past. Smart guy in some ways but clueless in others. Also enjoyed telling us about what went on at his last Mensa meeting.

I’ve heard this well thought out axiom: He is educated well beyond his intellect.

I once heard a talk given by a man who was/had been a teacher in S. California. He was having some sort of dispute with a high ranking school administrator and the administrator when losing the argument said to this teacher:

“I’ll have you know I have many degrees”.

To which the teacher replied:

“So does a rectal thermometer and you know where they end up.”

Nothing like a good old fashioned argument from authority fallacy. Basic logic skills really come in handy in times like these.

“A decorated scientist with four degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology”

What is a decorated scientist?

I’ve got degrees in 4 different engineering fields and I’ve published physics text books. This MIT hoser sounds like he thinks he’s better than everyone else. I still put my pants on one leg at a time and I’m not better than anyone else.

Bingo!

The idea that the deep state is generating a crisis may have some merit...

In fact, since the DS previously announced an interest is doing so it would be irresponsible for anyone to think otherwise.

Likewise, it would be professional negligence of the highest order for our government to dismiss those professionals who have clinically studied the history of such events and who warn CV19 has the potential to be 10-15 times worse than any previous virus.

He likes to build up his resume. He ran for U.S. Senator in Massachusetts a few years back. He’s a good talker. Scott Adams has had him on a few times.
