This website is actually counting real-time, the total of cases (and other stats) by web scraping.
Two days ago they seem to have been lagging behind another website - https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/
But now it seems the ncov2010.live website is leading.
The total just passed 200,000.
As I send this, the total now shows:
200,071
OMG...
Haha, but it seems notable anyway.
:)
Out of how many people?
Stop with the common sense!! /s
200,071
...
That’s about how many people have died from the seasonal flu this year.
Out of how many people?
...
7.7 billion
As compared to, how many were infected with H1N1 in the US alone before Biden’s administration declared an emergency?
China has 87% of their people recovered with a death total of less than 4,000. Russia isn’t even listed (or reporting). And for this they’re closing borders, shutting down factories, telling people to stay home?
Are we not being told the whole story?
200,000 out of 7.8 billion people in the world equates to exactly .00003% of the world’s population. Deaths so far is 8,010 which means we have a death rate of .000001%. Consider that deaths by car accidents world wide is at .0002%.
Still ridiculously effing low considering the total billions of humans worldwide.
Yes and this virus isn’t really started yet.
Exactly, I smell a RAT...
You’re off by two orders of magnitude. It’s actually 0.0026%, expressed as a percentage rather than a fraction.
“Are we not being told the whole story?”
That’s the problem. People are allowing themselves to be told rather than finding out the truth with observations and determinations. They will believe anything you tell them. So, no, you are not being told the truth. You are being told what they want you to believe and too many are. Sheep over the cliff.

We are, but a lot of people seem to be missing it.
This is a deadly virus, more deadly than the H1N1 pandemic of 1917-1919, the one they call the Spanish flu. The death rate is nearly 4%, as compared to the Spanish flu death rate of 2.5%. It is basically a cold virus, so is highly communicable. Last, no one is immune to it, meaning that everyone can get it. These facts together paint a very dire picture--12 million deaths in the US alone. This is why governments all over the world are taking extreme measures now to stop the virus before it starts spreading out of control.
The pandemic is not the only concern. There are not enough medical personnel to handle millions of people who have Covid-19 and need medical attention, causing a shortage of staff to handle other health issues. This means that death rates from other causes would also increase should the pandemic bloom out of control.
There is no way to collect this data and have it be reliable
It amounts to fake news
That is the whole story. The lesson is this: people are sheeple and love to have something to be anxious about. Now get back to work everybody. Quit being hermits.
Exactly.
