Coronavirus has been with us for longer than you think. According to documents seen by the South China Morning Post (SCMP), the Chinese government first detected a case of COVID-19 on Nov. 17. Yet it still hasnt been able to confirm that this case really is the fabled Patient Zero.
Officially, the coronavirus didnt exist until Dec. 31. The new leak of government documents therefore pushes the discovery of COVID-19 back by several weeks.
In other words, the first person to have had the coronavirus may have caught it even earlier than November. That;s why people who had pneumonia in December and January now suspect they already had the novel virus.

Look at my comment on the other thread. This is exactly what happened re: the sequencing of the RNA to make the virus “novel”. There’s no way that happened simultaneously with the announcement of the first case in December.

Fake News Network had better not start throwing feces about it originating in the US, like Chicoms are saying.

I said this long ago...way back in January. But since the CDC didnt say it..guess it couldnt possibly be true.

No one got suspicious even though he was wearing US Army fatigues and had “MOM” tattooed on his shoulder in English.

Crazy. At the end of December, I had the worst flu I've ever had. Coughed until I felt like I was drowning. Felt like it had to be pneumonia. It was unlike any flu I'd ever had. I couldn't make it past 9:00pm on New Years Eve (which has never happened). Barely slept from coughing. I went to the local express care and begged for an inhaler, which I got (but didn't help). In all, I was sick for about a month with the worst of it lasting about two weeks.
It even scared me off of the cigarettes because I said I never want to die feeling that way.
I'm sure it was probably the flu, but I still have a nagging suspicion in my mind.

I had something like that mid-January ... I'm in good shape, usually I can conquer any cold/flu within 3-4 days, but what I had just wouldn't let go
I also had mucous coming out of my eyes, so much that my eyesight was foggy ... never had that before
It lasted 2 weeks, not a sniffle since, lots of oranges helped to finally break it

Why wouldn’t it be Patient 1?

That British guy who lived in Wuhan said he got sick with the virus November 25.

The terrorists are taking notes for the future, assuming this wasn’t already an act of terrorism.

I believe you are right, although I am no expert.
It’s looking like the more we get these lockdown and quarantine type events, the there is no reason to expect an significant and lasting rebound.
I am tempted to buy in now, but I don’t feel like we are there yet. Only some sort of news that the spread rate is leveling will do it.

I read elsewhere some docs in China were thinking they may have seen the first cases in October but were attributing them to outlier cases.
