On Saturday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “AM Joy,” New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) stated that the coronavirus outbreak is a case for “a nationalization of crucial factories and industries that could produce the medical supplies to prepare this country for what we need.”

Boris Johnson however did order the UK’s manufacturing sector to switch production to ventilators.
We’ve contracted with private companies to produce supplies. Why would we need to nationalize them? They are doing fine.

Nationalization is a case for rapidly making most of the top dozen things we need, and also making hundreds of things well beyond what we need while also failing to make the other things we need.
The virus test program is off to the races now that we got centralized planning out of the way.

Commies are gonna commie. You hit the nail right on the head. I can't imagine anyone who is NOT a commie honeymooning in Castro's Cuba, which is exactly what DeBlasio did.
BTW, with all his purported zeal for public education, he closed the NYC schools for at least a month! And unlike other places, I don't think they have the capability for online instruction.

Um, how well did the "nationalized" CDC do with providing COVID-19 test kits before Trump stepped in?
