If the average age of people dying is 80 why don’t we quarantine nursing homes and tell old folks to stay at home and not have visitors.
Seriously, a lot of what is going on with the virus is out of his control, yet many will make him responsible for each death and every job loss associated with the virus. He truly is in a thankless position. All he can do is try to provide some calm, but the media, politicians, entertainers, etc., are going to create as much havoc as they can.

The World Health Organisation ranks Italy second in the world for health care provision, with only France rated higher. The UK is 18th.
That is across the whole country, but Lombardy is the richest region in Italy and likely to be way ahead of some regions in the south.

Italy has the most deaths in Europe because it has the oldest population in Europe. They haven’t had children there in decades...it’s all about keeping your figure, looking good, and, for men, living with your mother until she dies (but of course having many friends with benefits in the meantime). I guess some of these guys are going to have to bite the bullet and get their own apartments. Although they’ll probably inherit hers, so it’s all good for them.
