Who Will Succeed Trump in 2024?
The Political Insider ^ | 10 MAR 20200 | Wayne Dupree

If you haven’t noticed by now, the Democrats are focused upon surviving the Trump Presidency. If they can maintain control of the Deep State kakistocracy and keep its leaders out of jail, they believe they will have won. Even if President Trump wins a second term, which will mean they do not have as many dead voters as live Republicans, and that is not likely, there is no successor to Trump.

I worry about this with reckless abandon.

Yeah, I’d like to see Candice Owens as Pence’s VP.

The battle against the progressive movement is taking place on two fronts: 1) the deep state bureaucracy and
2) the fake news propaganda ministry..

Mike Pence may be boring, but he’s no weakling - he seems like the real deal when it comes to the the Constitution. I think the deep state depends on lobbyists’ bribe money and the ability to reciprocate via quid pro quo - favorable tax and regulatory policy - this quid pro quo is not happening under Trump - he is starving them out over time - I think it will be half-starved by 2024, and eight years of Mike Pence as a staunch placeholder could be devastating to the deep state. As the article says, the deep state hopes to hold on until a Democrat gets back in the White House in 2024. Let’s keep that from happening.

The other battle front - political correctness - the fake news monopoly - that is where a Candice Owens comes in. Just the fact that she’s a black, female Trump supporter destroys most of the fake news narratives. Add to that the fact that she is a top shelf debater and does not back down (like Trump). Trump has knocked the hell out of the PC fake news monopoly - they are off balance, contradicting themselves, sounding like childish morons. Candice Owens could finish them off.

Add to that, the fact that she is attractive and has super solid conservative credentials..

The reason I think Pence should be at the top of the ticket is that Donald Trump picked Pence, and Pence has served flawlessly. Pence never once crossed him, undermined him or embarrassed him. The President won’t toss him aside - and we shouldn’t either. Pence can act “presidential” and let Candice Owens be the attack dog. It could be a very effective combination.

As for the Trump children, they are fine, but I don’t really like these “dynasty” thingies. Maybe cabinet posts or something.

“Yes, I would think Nikki Haley is the favorite right now.

I personally wouldn’t mind Pence, but I just don’t think he has the “it” factor to be able to take the fight to the Dems that is needed to win and be successful.”

Nikki is appealing, but not truly conservative.

Pence is a good man, honest and so forth but, I’m sorry, he is a stiff. We have 4 years to sift the rest.

Also, when George HW Bush was up for reelection they thought he was so strong that no major politician bothered to try, leaving an opening for an obscure politician from Arkansas.

“I think Pence is as bad as Dan Quayle.”

Poor analogy on several fronts.....1st Pence is far more capable then Quayle, 2nd Pence is far more conservative then Quayle ever was, lastly Pence is much quicker on his feet than Quayle ever was.

Now, Pence may not make it for any number of reasons but having any similarity to Quayle is not one of them

I like Mike Pence, but he’s not POTUS material...he’s not a fighter.

Nikki Haley won’t survive the confederate flag flap, plus she’s an open borders globalist RINO

Ron DeSantis, if he stays the course on immigration, but we need a fighter like Trump to win.

They’ve been invading us for years and years and by the millions and they’ve gotten away with it and will continue to get away with it.

My FRiend Larry says Kanye. Right now I think Nikki is on the short list.

Maybe Pence *if* Trump gets behind him...but I think after eight years, both of these men will be happy to turn the reigns over to a younger generation of conservatives.

On the Democrat primary side, it will be Terry McAuliffe representing not-even-the-last-gasp of Clintonialism versus Gavin Newsom, who quite possibly made the leap to presidentiality after praising Trump and Pence. Yep, more white guys, slightly younger.

I detest Bill Clinton but I do recognize that he is/was a very skilled Politian (with plenty of help from the press) and when he was running against GHWB I was pretty sure he would win, and he won easily.

No. His victory was right on pattern. GOP mid term loses were right on pattern. The mushy middle that actually decides election are regular like the tide. When Trump fails to solve all their problems, which will happen because most people’s problems can’t be solved by the government, they’ll be sick of R and vote for D.

Here is what is suppose to happen.
The wall is finished. 99% of the illegal occupiers are deported. The Constitutional leaning Supreme court will back Trump up.
Oh yeah, Trump appoint one, possibly two, Supreme Court Justices.
The real Americans will notice the difference, and like the difference, and they will not want go back to how it was.

Meanwhile a Trump like figure will emerge sometime in late 2022.

I’ll add Ron Desantis, the FL governor who was elected in 2018. If there’s any good, hard Trumpeter who can win with a diverse, large electotare, it’s him.

None of those people stand a chance.

They all talk wonderfully. But they haven’t done a damn thing.

Yeah that’s my guess too. There is only one Trump so we have to play the game and the right woman would have a good shot.
Haley has sinned but she talks like she has her mind right now. I know, so does Linda Graham election year.

Nikki is appealing, but not truly conservative.

Neither is Trump. For example, he supports paid family leave. Deviates on a few other topics as well.

As I keep telling my NeverTrump relatives, the problem for you "True Conservative" guys is that there just aren't enough of you around anymore to win elections.
