If you haven’t noticed by now, the Democrats are focused upon surviving the Trump Presidency. If they can maintain control of the Deep State kakistocracy and keep its leaders out of jail, they believe they will have won. Even if President Trump wins a second term, which will mean they do not have as many dead voters as live Republicans, and that is not likely, there is no successor to Trump.
I worry about this with reckless abandon.

Hmmm. Someone strong. Not afraid. A fighter (although by then it won’t be quite the battle). If a female - Michelle Bachmann. If male, Devin Nunes.....with running mate Alan West. No to Ivanka. As much as I like Mike Pence, he’s not the fighter needed. I could be wrong though, he may be ready after 8 years of training.

You’re right. I’ve noticed that a lot recently. The president will be addressing the coronavirus and he’s back there zombied out.

Trump came out of nowhere. Hopefully something else can rise up. None on this list is really very inspiring.
