If you havent noticed by now, the Democrats are focused upon surviving the Trump Presidency. If they can maintain control of the Deep State kakistocracy and keep its leaders out of jail, they believe they will have won. Even if President Trump wins a second term, which will mean they do not have as many dead voters as live Republicans, and that is not likely, there is no successor to Trump.
I worry about this with reckless abandon.

I think we’re about 10 to 12 years out from the point where elections become unwinnable for Republicans.
Immigration + Young Socialists being cranked out by the education system + a few more of us meeting the Grim Reaper every day.

I think Mike Pompeo is a definite possibility for 2024. Of course a lot of candidates who look good on paper either decide not to run or have weaknesses that only become apparent when they run.
I don't think Nikki Haley will get far. She has basically written off any Southerners who honor their ancestors who fought in the War.

Pence always reminds me of Race Bannon in the Johnny Quest cartoons. You have to be a certain age to remember that.

Teens are the WORST voting group.
Which is why I predict that when the Dems get all the levers of power again they will make it mandatory for you to show proof of having voted in order to receive government benefits.
Including student aid.

I'm with Mr. Dupree, I think about this a lot. It would only take one Barack Obama, Elizabeth Warren or Pete Buttigieg to undo a lot of what Trump has done and will do in the coming years. That's because much of what President Trump has accomplished has been done via Executive Order.
As we've seen with the un-doing of all of Obama's EO's, that which has been done via EO can be un-done by EO.
I said this very thing at the beginning of President Trump's term: it's important to legislate and codify into law vs. executive fiat (EO).
So many people have lost sight of that and that's why it's imperative to take back the House this election cycle and put into law that which has been done via EO.

Nah, I don’t consider your POV particularly unique here and am not worried about it, and my link went to the right page.
Plenty others here and ALL Rats agree with you, so you’re “in the pink”.*
Have a nice day.

“....we follow a pattern in national election....” Trump has destroyed all of the old patterns of political behavior. I know 2018 was following the old ways, but I believe most are fed up with the results and won’t let that happen again. When POTUS leaves office, and the condition of the nation when he leaves, it may be possible to continue a run of R’s.
