Intensifying its enforcement in so-called sanctuary cities across the country, Immigration and Customs Enforcement has begun 24-hour-a-day surveillance operations around the homes and workplaces of undocumented immigrants. The agency plans to deploy hundreds of additional officers in unmarked cars in the coming weeks to increase arrests in cities where local law enforcement agencies do not cooperate with federal immigration enforcement.
ICE leadership has requested at least 500 special agents who normally conduct long-term investigations into dangerous criminals and traffickers to join the enhanced arrest campaign rolling out in sanctuary cities, according to an internal email reviewed by The New York Times.
The request follows an earlier decision, made public last month, to deploy elite tactical BORTAC agents — immigration SWAT teams that are normally assigned to risky border smuggling, rescue and intelligence operations — to help arrest and deport immigrants in sanctuary cities.
The expanded surveillance operations and added manpower are the latest intensification in a conflict between the Trump administration and cities that refuse to help with deportations, including Boston, New York, Detroit, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Atlanta, New Orleans and Newark. The effort began last month and will run through Dec. 31, according to the internal email, which says the initiative is called Operation Palladium.

And in Mayoral offices. Start the arrests there.
Individuals born after 1960’s ... probably have lived in the United States with loose roles and no accountability for going off the track... people have gotten by with whatever... bad turned to worse... I recall a t shirt some years ago that I wondered what it meant.. exactly.. “Just do it”.. I never got the full meaning of how far that went.... but the living seemed to be just that.
One of my sons told me one time “you don’t have any gray area”.. he was right.. I never thought of it that way, but there was no mistake on what my opinion was and what I expected. but gray areas were how most lived.. where was their line? what did they believe? did it change with the wind? that gray has turned darker and darker... it isn’t healthy and it isn’t wise. it helps no one.
Gov needs to clean up the corruption.. local gov needs to have control of the streets and parents need to know what their kids are doing and where they are...
society needs to clean up its act ... it didn’t used to be so loose and so much put on and lying that is a given habit... swamp is everywhere....and we need a cleaning!
Sanctuary cities IGNORE federal law- thumb their noses at the feds- so why don’t the feds simply ignore sanctuary citie’s whining about arrests at courthouses? Just ignore them- let them stomp their feet and scream and holler, but keep right on arresting illegals outside courtrooms- They ignore republicans, republicans should just ignore the liberals in sanctuary cities- defy them! To heck with htem- stand up for the rule of law and common sense-
