What we need is a National Toilet Paper Depository where huge amounts of toilet paper could be stored for emergencies.

I recommend the Democrat Party headquarters as the location.

I did see some people wearing surgical masks like the ones Michael Jackson used to wear. “

OT He wore that mask to hide the fact his nose was falling off.

They should be more concerned about their fatness

That’s far more deadly than Corona

Red wine goes good with dark chocolate and both have loads of good ingredients for a healthy gut.

If people had done a little basic prep 6 weeks ago as had been suggested, none of these lines would have happened. Too bad people were actively dissuading others from doing anything.

If you are in a quarantine zone and the power goes out, it will take longer for it to come back because the repair guys will have to take extra precautions instead of telling friends and family to buy some extra supplies during their regular shopping trips.

If the power goes out many people will lose water at the same time, and there is always the possibility that water treatment will temporarily fail due to power loss.

Paper towels are a better choice than a regular cloth hand towel if you want to dry your hands after washing them etc.

That pic of the empty hand sanitizer shelf isn’t news. Hand sanitizer has been sold out in a lot of places for a while but you can get it in a lot of places still or make your own.

Still not seeing the stampedes or trampling deaths. It is certain that more people will die from CV because somebody told them not to take simple precautions than will die from taking those precautions. Yet I still see complacents mocking and attacking anybody that suggests even having basic needs covered. I wonder if these are the same people that have always mocked preppers now having can’t-be-wrong panics, but since I am not a prepper I haven’t really noted who posts what on those threads.

At the risk of triggering the Meta Concern Trolls even more: It’s NOT the flu.

I’ll wait for the nasty comments, now. Have at it and prove me right.

Look how sloven and chubby folks are

Sad reflection on America

I grew up folks were proportional and didn’t go out looking so sloppy

All you need is one square. .....a roll should last a year or more. ....sheryl crow. ....:-}

To be fair, her livelihood depends (or at least she and her handlers believe her livelihood depends) on maintaining a slim figure. She probably eats very little (and is therefor hungry and cranky most of the time!). On that restricted a diet she may well only poop dry concrete pellets once a week. Not much in the way of cleanup needed after that. For her one square may actually suffice...

Absolutely right you are. Heart attacks, strokes, cancer due to bad living habits will kill 10,000 times more than covid-19.

I used to work in a school district and the facilities manager told me that one of the classrooms was the toilet paper room because that was the room they stored the toilet paper in. I was like, that is a big classroom, why did you guys buy so much toilet paper. He said the administrator got a really good deal on it, so we stored it all in an empty classroom. I asked him how long did that supply last and he said after 5 years we had to toss it all because it all started to rot and the room was still 3/4 full.

Moral of the story, toilet paper has a shelf life

I went for a normal shopping trip to Sammys
the other day around noon EST.

Saw 8 lines (most self checkout)
30 deep and loaded to overflowing
Every illegal in the area there too making
their SNAP cards groan

Used my app to scan and pay and
flew past those 250+ laughing all the way

Just like my EZpass, trusted traveler, GOES line skipping

[ALWAYS and I mean always, we book only last minute cruises, if there is deep discount. That is a benefit of living in Florida. 40 minutes drive to cruise terminal in Jacksonville and 90 minutes from Port Canaveral. The previous cruise 3 months ago was discounted to $100 per person on Norwegian for a 5 day cruise. Because it was scheduled to sail for Cuba and that got cancelled. Add port taxes of courses of about $130/pp and tips. These 5 day cruises cost us $600-650 for two. We can barely get a decent hotel room for 5 nights for that money. And you must buy all your food and entertainment.]

Thanks. It’s been decades since I’ve been on a cruise. I may start looking around for deals. The current climate of overwrought hysteria may just be the ticket for the deal of a decade. What’s your sweet spot for last minute? 6 weeks? A month? Do you book directly with the cruise line or do you have a preferred website that covers all the cruise lines?

I don't have a lot of confidence in the numbers coming out of China, especially after seeing the draconian efforts they've gone to, to contain this; like building extra hospitals and boarding everyone up in their apartments. And I don't know of many who don't feel the same about the Chinese numbers as I do.

It's a fact that governments are taking unprecedented steps to contain this for some reason, including the spreading of falsehoods.

I'm fully aware "democrat liberals" WANT to make Trump look bad. Hopefully his natural ability to see through the BS put out by the bureaucrats working for him now, will prevail and he will take the necessary steps to prevent the democrat liberals' dreams from coming true by getting a handle on this.

Visit any high level shopping mall in Seattle, and you can tell which ones speak English and which ones don’t just by looking at them! The new arrivals are still thin..
