Sen. Hawley demolishes Chucky's non-apology; introduced motion to censure
Twitter ^ | March 5, 2020 | Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO)

Posted on 03/05/2020 2:41:05 PM PST by NobleFree

Schumer refusing to take responsibility. This non-apology is the equivalent of “I’m sorry you feel that way.” He threatened #SupremeCourt Justices. Personally. By name. He should be censured #CensureSchumer https://t.co/D3m0RNtwKy— Josh Hawley (@HawleyMO) March 5, 2020

Schumer: I’m from Brooklyn. We speak in strong language. I shouldn’t have used the words I did, but in no way was I making a threat. I never—never—would do such a thing. And Leader McConnell knows that. And Republicans..manufacturing outrage over these comments know that too.— Chad Pergram (@ChadPergram) March 5, 2020

Mitt Romney will vote against censure. Count on it.

Schumer has already been kicked out once and reelected. I’m sure he thinks he’s bulletproof. And he’s probably right.

Congress do America the favor, and do whatever it takes to remove this shyster Democrat from our political scene permanently, and the sooner the better.

Nothing’s going to happen to him. Being a Dem means never having to say you’re sorry. Just blame the GOP and don’t worry about it

Censure that’s all. More drama means more drama. He ain’t going no where. At lease some or most will acknowledge he was wrong.

Schumer: I’m from Brooklyn. We speak in strong language...

I’m from Staten Island. Spent a lot of time on Carroll Street in Brooklyn where pop was born and grew up. Have a lot of friends in brooklyn. Went out a lot in brooklyn.

I have probably over 100,000 posts here.

Heated arguments aplenty.

Not one threat.

Don’t see Lindsay’s name or Cornyn’s and host of others. Must be they’re OK with incitement to violence and intimidation.

Go, Joni Ernst! Welcome Back to the Republican Party! I now despise you less than at any other time in your career!

I wouldn’t actually say Hawley “demolishes”. Unfortunately, he’s aiming too low. Call for his resignation, then after a couple of weeks of abuse, settle for censure. He could use some Trump negotiating skills - ask for more than you want to get what you need.

For this .. You and I would go to jail!

Criminal Threats

A criminal threat involves one person threatening someone else with physical harm.

Criminal threats are made with the intention to place someone in fear of injury or death.

It isn't necessary for a victim to experience fear or terror.

It is the intention of the person making the threat that matters.
(As in: "Don't mess with our baby killings!")

The intent of a person who makes threats is usually determined by the circumstances surrounding the case.

Censure, big deal. He should be forced to resign. Democrats never pay the price for their wrongdoing.

Didn’t the Democratics just spend the last 3 years reminding the country that no-one is above the law? Nancy, Schiff and Nadler practically ended every paragraph with the rejoinder. Do we now Deem Senators above the law?

Has anyone else noticed that since Trump appeared on the political stage Democrats have been having a bad time?

It is as if they (the Democrats) have lost the ability to think before they speak or act. Their words and actions are slowly deconstructing the Democrat party.

All it takes is Romney, Alexander, Sasse, Murk, and Collins to say lay-off or Trump won’t get judges approved

I watched The Turtle doing his little speech today on the floor of the Senate.

I was almost screaming at the TV saying something along the lines of “quit talking, Mitch, and ACTUALLY. DO. SOMETHING!! ABOUT IT!”

I’m sure Schumer is just quaking in his boots after being on the receiving end of a strongly worded admonition. Oh, sure..he’s REALLY scared now - NOT!!

CHARGE HIM!! There are laws on the books to do so. (Yeah, THAT would happen with our milquetoast Republican Senators..sigh)..
