In December 2019, the first cases of coronavirus, or SARS-CoV-2, were reported in the Wuhan province of mainland China. Despite the efforts of the Chinese government and other agencies, the disease spread around the world. Public health officials reported cases on every continent. Coronavirus has become a global pandemic, and it has already impacted on the global economy. This, in turn, can radically affect our lives here in the United States. Gun owners remember how guns and ammo were hard to find because of the political climate at the time. What will happen if its a pandemic that affects our ammo supply? What gear will be affected? As we here at Ammoman are in the ammo business, well be looking at how a pandemic might affect your access to ammo. How much ammo do you need for a SHTF* scenario where the supply chain breaks down? How might it affect your ability to buy ammo and enjoy the shooting sports? Lets take a look.

If SHTF is getting close, then I’d better get scuba gear so I can get all those guns & ammo hat went overboard...
How much can you carry in a pinch?
= = =
They have searched women and found a complete firearm in her pinch.
Staying put no matter what as bugging out in such an event will put you in an ambush situation very quickly. Realize many can’t but they had better leave before it gets bad...
I would say if people passing by your house can smell it, you may have a little too much.
Close.
Too much of everything is just enough
3 rounds. 1 for the guy at the door, one for the arsehole leaving the porch, and one for the car backing out of your drive way. Then they drone your house. Game over. Granted this is a guess. But! BOHICA and Giveem Hell Pike.
Just take the guns and ammo off the dead.
I’m going to run out of luck before I run out of ammo.
I sleep naked; you wake me up in the middle of the night and IDGAF. Keep an 870 in arms reach on the side of the bed. You get the picture ;’)
My old naked ass will probably scare any intruders: the gun just is an accessory.
TMI ping! lol!
What ever you have, plus one more box.
Repeat monthly!
LOL! Yup. Even Mrs rktman knows that drill.
That is tacticool! Heck yeah!
This sounds like a good thread for a sensitive subject. You are armed and looters are at your door wanting food and stuff. What is the next move?
What neighborhood do you live in???
In the short term, not much. If you are finding yourself in high volume firefights, you are not going to survive very long, no matter how much of a badass you think you are. The trick is to avoid having to shoot at people or being shot at. Choose carefully what you think is worth fighting for. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have a lot on hand. As they say, “buy it cheap, stack it deep”.
The enemy gets a vote, so you can only project based on potential scenario. Basically—get a lot.
Damn. That quite a stash!
Badassery days are over for sure. Question to a potential perp: “Can you run 1,500 fps?”
I read an article in the late 50s or maybe early 60s by Erle Stanley Gardiner. It was in Outdoor Life or one of the other outdoor magazines.
The scenario back then was you were one of the few survivors of a nuclear war and were trying to live off the land. Gardner thought an S&W K-17 masterpiece with a 6 inch barrel was about ideal.
Probably still a good choice for rabbits, squirrels etc.
