Michael Bloomberg, the billionaire former mayor of New York City, announced on Wednesday he's suspending his presidential campaign, although he has promised that his presence is sure to be felt through November.
"Three months ago, I entered the race for President to defeat Donald Trump," Bloomberg said in a statement. "Today, I am leaving the race for the same reason: to defeat Donald Trump because it is clear to me that staying in would make achieving that goal more difficult."
The decision follows a disappointing Super Tuesday. Bloomberg threw his support behind former Vice President Joe Biden, who had a strong performance on Tuesday.

“Plus, I’m a billion dollars poorer!”
It’s the Joe & Bernie show, now
Would have preferred Lil’ Mike burning $500 MM on TV.
Joe will get another billion to shore up his wicked ride to a flaming collapse. Dems desperately hope to cling to the house or gain the senate.
Well, that escalated quickly.
Let’s see how much longer the DNC can prop up the self- deluded Liawatha.
From what I read Lil’ Mike signed contracts through Nov 2020 for his consultants and staff. What a gig. Getting paid for doing nothing.
This was a crazy campaign by Bloomberg. It consisted of him just running ads , with virtually no campaign appearances, and skipping the 4 early states entirely.
And then a couple of terrible debate performances which revealed he’s not ready for prime time, and the die was cast.
I wonder what his expenses per delegates won ended up at.
The fix is in.
Trump’s going to make a meal of this one!
Love it!
Fastest billion dollars evah!
He’ll bankroll Joe instead.
If I was working for money bags I’d do it. Hell I wish I was on that boat.
I could totally forgive any Conservative seeking to gain money from gold-bricking Bloomberg.
What will we do, without seeing Mike Bloomberg ads all.over TV?
So much for Mike getting it done. He runs away at the first sign of trouble.
Mike can’t do it.
I want to see if he paid more per vote than Steyer or not.
Hopefully now my YouTube will go back to normal.
