Why is he giving a campaign speech at a Sunday Worship Service? Last time we did anything political in our church buildings, not Sunday Worship, we were told that we cannot do it and keep our tax exempt status.
Also,why would any minister divert part of the time set aside for Christ to be used by politicians?
Still think Mini Mike can just buy the election?

I’d probably skip that service if a politician was giving a speech , thats not why I go to Church (even if it was someone I agreed with). The guy isn’t even Christian, not sure why he would even go there.
I always thought it was illegal to stump political in a church.

I seriously doubt if those that actually turned their backs actually had anything at all to do with an assumed Bloomberg invitation or request.
If any organization I belonged to invited a person I strongly dislike in political terms, I would likely do the same.
It’s a soft way to tell management (in this case the clergy or others in charge of the church) it’s not acceptable and embarrassing them at the same time. Those that made the Bloomberg arrangements should have been aware of such consequences.
Just out of curiosity, FReepers, how many of you have had politicians speak in your church? I don’t mean to rent the space, but to actually speak to the congregation on a Sunday morning. Nothing like this ever happens in my church.

Rude? RUDE? Are you kidding me? What’s “rude” is mini mike bragging about sending cops into black neighborhoods because “that’s where the crime is”. What’s “rude” is Bloomberg thinking he can buy black votes. What’s “rude” is that pastor taking payment to allow this asswhole to speak at the pulpit.

I’d say it was rude because it blocked the view of the pulpit. Of course Mini-Mike needs to be humbled, all that wealth has gone to his head. He is running because of vanity. Trump ran out of love of country.

Bloomberg apologizing for stop-and-frisk was stupid and condescending. But I'm glad Trump and the Right are using Alinsky's Rules against Bloomberg by making him play by his own identity politics rule.
