Local health officials confirmed two more cases Sunday of COVID-19 in King County, saying that two men in their 60s with underlying health conditions were hospitalized in critical condition.a
The announcement that the two men were being treated for the respiratory illness raised the total number of COVID-19 cases to six in King County, where officials said a man in Kirkland became the first person in the United States on Friday to die of it.
Health officials so far have identified 12 cases treated in Washington. King County has monitored more than 500 people for signs of the illness, and dozens of people had been tested in Washington state, as of Saturday.
The virus, known as the novel coronavirus or SARS-CoV-2, has been spreading to a growing number of countries across the globe.
In a release, Seattle and King County authorities said test results returned from the State Public Health Laboratory confirmed the two new cases. One of the newly diagnosed patients was in critical but stable condition at Valley Medical Center in Renton. The other man is in critical condition at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle.
It wasn’t immediately known how the two men contracted the virus.

Dr. Trevor Bedford, a genetic and infectious disease researcher at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and director of the Bedford Lab, said there may already be “a few hundred cases” of the virus in Washington, while suggesting that the virus has likely been spreading within the state’s population for up to six weeks.

There has been ONE reported death that was (allegedly) caused by Coronavirus. This in a country of 350 million people. For Pete’s Sake, this is the biggest fraud in medical history. Ask yourselves a question: If this virus was really a “killer,” wouldn’t people just drop over dead? Wouldn’t we have piles of bodies in the US and China (2,800 dead, virtually all of whom had pre-existing health issues)? Chill out America. It’s no worse than a seasonal flu.
Am I the only one puzzled that of all the places known for international travel - King’s County (AKA - Seattle) would be the “hotbed” for Coronavirus? Not LA, not NYC....

The first US case was a 33 y/o man returning from China, landed at SeaTac, and took public transportation home from the airport. He landed just over six weeks ago.
When you arrive internationally at SeaTac, you take a subway to the main terminal - it is usually quite full.
International arrivals also go through customs in a very large and crowded hall before taking the subway.
Many escalators involved as well, whose railing would have been touched and infected.
After that, you retrieve your baggage at the main terminal if you didn’t take it on the subway with you. In other words, this guy touched a ton of things that were common surfaces, and was shoulder to shoulder with a bunch of people.
Of course it has been circulating for six weeks...
