The owners of a Mexican restaurant in Catalina are fending off social media attacks after appearing in the VIP area at Donald Trump's Phoenix campaign rally last week.
A member of the Grupo de Palfeis Facebook group on Wednesday posted a screengrab image from the Feb. 19 rally that showed Sammy's Mexican Grill owner Betty Rivas standing behind Trump, donning a red cowboy hat emblazoned with "Latinos Love Trump."
“Very ugly stuff. They are saying nasty stuff about the restaurant," owner Jorge Rivas said Friday, a day after he and his wife posted a video on Facebook defending their rights as "naturalized American citizens" to vote, support and meet whomever they please.

You are a little naive. Leftist revolutions have been consistently bloody. Look at Cuba, China, the Soviet Union, North Korea, and let’s not even get started about Angola or the Congo. It’s not something that can happen somewhere else to somebody else, it’s the ideology that’s the unifying factor in a buttload of bloodshed and misery.
Maybe I’m missing something, but who gives a rat’s patoot what some morons say about you on Facebook or Twitter? Those people aren’t likely to be your customers anyway. How is it worse than getting scolded here for saying something dumb? Perhaps it’s a big deal, but I don’t get it.

You want your right to freely associate and support your candidate. These people have their right to tell you what they think.
In the recent past some business owners have succesfully sued some online posters for libel and defamation. Unfortunately it takes a fair amount of money to find the actual name of the online poster and then the legal action after that.
Although I am not a big fan of this type of legal action, it has been proven to be a damper on some of the online fanaticism. Unfortunately some businesses use this to purge the net of negative reviews leaving only the better references.
If I get down there (I live not that far away) I certainly will eat there.
Hopefully the locals will support a good business.
As for the progressives, well, CW-II will hopefully remind them of their place at the very bottom of civilization.
