The Far Left’s Strategy to Control Your Community
The Daily Signal ^ | February 26, 2020 | Kay C. James

Posted on 02/26/2020 1:06:58 PM PST by fwdude

Why are wealthy left-wing donors across the country, the abortion industry, and national gun control groups more interested in your local school board and city council races than most of the people who live in your own town?

Because they’re funding efforts to ensure their far-left agenda pervades our entire society—from getting their abortion curricula into our schools to changing our election laws—and they want to make sure that no city, no town is left to stand against them.

National left-wing organizations are collecting and funneling hundreds of millions of dollars to flip local city councils, school boards, and county prosecutors’ offices to the left. They are flooding small elections with big money, and it’s giving them unprecedented influence over our local affairs and greater access to our children.

Those of us paying attention knew this was the case for quite a while. It’s good to have this pointed out once in a while.

Local politics is the low-hanging fruit that the left exploits at every opportunity. Conservatives ignore it at their own peril.

Perhaps a national Conservative campaign to stimulate grass roots community and regional political involvement?

Such a thing may exist, but I've never noticed it.

More than forty years ago, the invasion and control of America's so-called "public education system" began to be apparent to become apparent to those who were attempting restore awareness of the ideas underlying America's founding and the framing of its Constitution. One simply needed to see how foreign those founding ideas were to the teachings in the classrooms of the nation.

Calls for attention to the need for restoration went largely unheeded in the halls of academia and the local school boards who were responsible for hiring and retaining teachers for youth.

Now, the fruits of that neglect of principles essential to citizenship in a free society are being seen.

One of the mistakes the Right has made is letting the local power structure slip away while focusing on the larger federal organization.

Don’t forget Obama’s attempt to force homeowners to only sell their properties to minorities or be deemed guilty of discrimination. That is still going on somewhere in Bureaucrat Land.

A developer in Nashville has submitted a subdivision plan for single family homes with houses 5 feet apart. If it gets approved, you just know that the city counsel has been bought.

The threat is real.

I know a guy who ran for a VA state senate seat.
Looked like he’d have it in the bag until George Soros & Co. funneled $12 mil. to his Democrat opponent.

Hopefully the American people have learned some from Bloomberg. The wealthy and malevolent buy elections ALL THE TIME.

He who controls the schools controls the future.

(And no, I will not depart from proper English and write some nonsense such as "He or she.")

Conservatives are woefully ignorant of local politics, especially in conservative areas, where the inhabitants just assume that their default world view will win the day due to their numbers.

So they don’t get involved.

What happens in our county is that you can build as much low income housing as you want because they tend to vote Democrat.

Regular housing?

You need a ten acre lot.

The county commissioners get sued and lose every time.

They don’t care.

The taxpayers pay the bills.

I live in a county where there is no sewage system out side the city limits and the soil is not very porous. In my area, sewage is disposed of by septic tanks and leach lines. Until we get sewage lines out our way, the lots are generally an acre in size or more.

A developer in Nashville has submitted a subdivision plan for single family homes with houses 5 feet apart.

There are neighborhoods like that in Buffalo NY and they are OLD houses.

Here's an example and they are like this all over the city.

Some of the more decrepit houses looked like they didn't even have enough room for someone to wing a hammer between the houses. I often wondered how they were ever built and sided.

Septic tanks or sewage have never been a factor in the Democrats sizing of lots.

My subdivision has a private sewer system.

The county built a new sewage plant and needed more suckers to pay for it.

They declared our system unacceptable and told us we had to join to their new plant.

Failure to do so would result in a $10,000 per day fine for each homeowner.

They must have filled up their new plant without us because all those threats just died.

Well said...

Soros and his minions changed their focus of influence to the Secretary of State (voting) and on down the line and especially in the Education systems. They are infested with Leftist ideology and social Engineering constructs that steal our children’s lives from the earliest age and indoctrinate them into and on to paths that lead to acolytes in training

I maintain there is a special place in Hell for those who lead these young minds astray

These are the same tactics used against the Russian
peasant villages...just refined and polished to be
acceptable to dumbed down Americans.

It worked then, it is working now, until the people
got wise to it.

One can only pray that it’s in time
and work to enlighten their neighbors.

I tell my kids the following about politics

The Democrats want to kill babies, chop them up , and sell their little baby body parts for money

The Republicans wanted every baby to be born, and loved, and cared for

It’s really that simple

It gets dressed up and all kinds of different ways , with different slogans , but that’s the reality
