Clint Eastwood is breaking his silence over the 2020 presidential hopeful he believes is best fit for office.
The 89-year-old discussed the #MeToo movement, career highlights and dished on his political views in a revealing interview with the Wall Street Journal, and it turns out Mike Bloomberg has the actor's support.
"The best thing we could do is just get Mike Bloomberg in there," Eastwood told the outlet.

lets hope he does the same thing for bloomberg he did for romney...
I read a long facebook post from A Catholic Priest who was disgusted at Trumps manner in his speech the day after the State of the Union address in which he berated and made fun of Democrats re: the impeachment attempt. The post ignored Buttiplugs speech the same day in which he appeared to endorse post birth abortion (or infanticide) not to mention his homosexuality and his willingness to lecture others about their sin. It appears that there are some people who think appearance is more important than substance. These people seem to be embarrassed by the horrible truth of things and wish to tickle the ears of others to gain popularity. Whether this is Clint or not I do not know but surely Trumps’ demeanor is not the important thing. Not to mention that Trump is very much justified very often in speaking the way he does. “Republicans must be genteel and good while Democrats can be corrupt and do what they will” is a standard that has had it’s day and one that prevented Republicans from fighting back on an even footing for years. Those days are gone!
I read the interview he gave to the Wall Street Journal, and he wasnt taken out of context
At the beginning of the interview, he says he is a libertarian. Then, at the end, he says the best thing that could happen for the country would be if we got Mike Bloomberg in there.
Huh?
And gentility does not comfort middle America, which has been bruised by gentility before.
Genteel is not a platform. Its not a strategy or a program or a goal.
Its gingerbread. And in some fights it might even be a fatal flaw.
Absolutely.
Aside from that, how could anyone think Bloomberg is a gentleman?
He reminds me more of aNYC cab driver. No manners and lots of mouth.
Poor Clint. Hubby says he must have the Biden disease.....
Clint has gone senile
I adore Clint Eastwood but FO. I think he would understand.
He owned The Breath Inn in Carmel. He wanted to put on a second story and the city of Carmel said no. Pissed him off, so he ran for mayor and won.
Dealing with the Deep State and the Commies calls for an approach a tad more intense than “genteel”, from what I have learned over my lifetime.
In the end Clint is nothing but Hollywood like the rest of those crap sacks.
When the hell did Eastwood turn into a liberal, suburban soccer mom?
The president is called every name in the book including “Nazi” and “Hitler” and Eastwood thinks Trump should be more “genteel?”
FU Clint Eastwood!
It MUST be dementia. How an avowed “libertarian” can support someone who wants to ban drinking large sodas is beyond me, and that’s just for starters.
I instinctively give Clint a pass on this one.
Based on what we have seen in the news over the past week or so, Bloomberg is far more vulgar, crass, insulting, sexist, etc. than Donald Trump has ever been or will be.
Unlike the rest of Hollywood, Eastwood actually ran for office, albeit mayor, but I respect that, gives him political voice in my book.
That said, I don’t have to care or believe what he says.
As for the rest of Hollywood, they think if they shovel $$ to a DNC fundraiser they’re in the game. Just shut up.
Since I can't access the WSJ entire article without a subscription, could any of you tell me where I can access the entire interview rather than rely on some article that only quotes one sentence of his?
Thanks because it could give clarity to a questionable claim and prevent the frogs here from quickly jumping to conclusions............
Clint; how much did Little Mikey pay you?
The guy is 90. If he has dementia it wouldn’t surprise me, and I don’t mean that as a joke. I love Clint but I can’t for the life of me ever imagine someone like him pushing for a DEMOCRAT.
