NASCAR named Trump the grand marshal of the Daytona500, marking the first time a sitting president has held the honor. Trump AND THe FIRST LADY is planning to take a lap around the track prior to the NASCAR event in the presidential limousine known as The Beast
The U.S. Secret Service will have more than 500 agents on site at the Daytona500 according to people briefed on the security plan, one of the largest presences by the Secret Service in all of American history.

That is why the current limos are specially built. As more and more armor and weight were added the stock Caddys and Lincolns could no longer perform to needs. Apparently they start with a truck chassis and then create the limo using some style and parts from various Cadillac models but there is no current model that these limos matches up with like in the past. Besides the nickname beast it is also called Cadillac One.

Now, I had read that the engine in the Beat is a turbo-charged diesel. Don’t know if that’s the case or not.
In any case, I think this is the first time a sitting President has given The Command. I am quite excited, and I’ll be sitting here with my chips, my Cheetos, my homemade chili-cheese dip (reserved only for major sporting events), and some home-craft beers one of my co-workers gave me.
AF1 is going to do a flyover the stadium in about 25 minutes. Says it will be low, about 800 feet.
Also Fox just said the Beast will get up to 100mph.
Michelle Obama and Jill Biden gave the command at the 2011 NASCAR season final at Homestead and were booed by the fans.

I crewed for bike teams several time there. At 110 ion the high banks the bike was at a 90° angle to the surface. Just like straight and level.
I can’t find a single live stream on you tube or on line...without signing up for something.... Is this like the super bowl that you can only get on cable etc?

Nice! I love auto racing, but at Daytona, it’s all about drafting, blocking, and trying to escape getting caught up in “the big one”. The last couple laps are where it’s all decided.
