If Barr doesn’t like the tweeting that’s fine, he could have gone to President Trump and told him to knock it off, he doesn’t have to go to ABC and cry about it

Maybe if Barr would get off his ass and DO his job it would help.

Yeah, how many interviews does Barr give? He basically ran to the nearest Fake News camera to undermine POTUS. Not good.

I think youre wrong about this. Barr has done this in a way that lets him always tell the truth when he says: President Trump and I have never spoken about DOJ work on active cases.
He is scheduled to testify in March before the House Judiciary Committee, and this is a critical stance for him to maintain.

Were he to do that, the media would be crying that he is not independent.

Barr had to say that publicly, to distance himself and appear independent. Plus, maybe Trump will shut the hell up a little bit. He doesn’t have to spout off every time he has a thought.

exactly should never have gone to the media-if he did

Barr is doing his job, but by doing his job he looks like he is doing Trumps bidding....he could have gone to President Trump and told him to knock it off... Perhaps Barr did advise the WH he would be more comfortable-effective if there appeared to be a bit more room between them. I.e., that there was communication with the WH on the point and it was agreed Barr's statement would better shape the public image.

I think he has to say that, to make folks think he is actually Justice minded.
DOJ, FBI, BATF, CIA, DOS all need to be downsized and revamped to fit the president’s agenda... the DOJ does NOT work for the congress, for the court systems... but for the Executive.
These cabinet and department heads seem to not know that... and neither do the American people taken as a whole.
It’s time for a civics class. Lack of knowledge regarding United States Civics can trigger unnecessary Civil Unrest and conflicts.
