The U.S. Senate voted Wednesday to advance a War Powers resolution which would limit President Donald Trump’s ability to use military action against Iran without approval from Congress.

The vote was bipartisan, 51-45, with eight Republicans voting with Democrats. The eight Republicans in favor of the resolution included Utah Sen. Mike Lee, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, Maine Sen. Nah, he’ll simply veto it.

Doesn’t it still need Trump’s signature to become law?

“”””””The vote was bipartisan, 51-45,”””””””

Only 17 more needed to override his veto. Good luck with that.

I hope they are the first to go when the Globalist jihad reaches our shores. (They are already here but probably need to gain more people before they can act) Can Trump veto this? And why did it start in the Senate?

further down in the story:

“The resolution could be vetoed by Trump, as he vetoed a War Powers resolution in 2019.”

Dems and their media are grasping for anything positive for their side. My question is, which Democrats did not vote for this?

Probably the ones off running for president. They don’t seem to think they need to show up for work anymore.

The congress main power in defense or war arena is It’s power of the purse. Such resolutions do not limit constitutional presidential powers.

Wait 51/45..... If 8 RINO’s voted for it that would mean some Democrats voted against it right?
