These reports are silly. I’m kind of surprised anyone in the media even pays any mind to them. The President can propose whatever budget he wants, but he has absolutely no control over what passes in Congress.

The federal budget for the 2019 fiscal year is at $4.407 trillion."

So it's really going up 10%.

Excellent! A debtor nation should not be dispensing foreign aid in the first place.

I’m very shocked if Trump would propose cutting Medicare or anything like it this year.

DOA. I don’t know why the executive even sends a budget to congress unless it’s a campaign ploy.

He can veto the spending bills, but has not. He can’t afford to completely alienate the GOPe. His campaign promise to slash federal spending by 18% was a big lie. And he knew it.

There is no political pressure from anyone to cut Federal spending by one penny — let alone 18%.

Title is F*d up. It’s not cutting $4.4T (although that might be good for starters); it’s a $4.8T proposal.

With the best economy ever, now is the perfect time for 95% of federal “workers” to become unemployed.
