Wasn’t going to take the state anyway, now on to my state, California.

Give us the double-whammy! Our state deserves it.

In addition to this the State’s of California and NY should be BANNED from accessing ANY federal DoJ databases - NCIC etc.

If they refuse to enforce or cooperate with federal laws and agencies, they should NOT benefit from the federal government’s assets.

Xavier Becerra should have NO access to anything in DC. He’s clearly on the side of Mexico City DF, not the US.

“Our state deserves it”

Yup. Hit ‘em hard. Don’t validate the Real ID licenses we all have to get.

See how it works out when Californians can’t get on airplanes because Gil Cedillo and Kevin de Leon turned on California voters and gave driver’s licenses to illegals.

As a (legal native citizen) of NYS, this kinda sucks ... last year I spent a whole lotta money and time putting together all the documents to obtain an Enhanced License ... and now it's totally worthless.

Thanks a lot, Fredo's older brother .....

Sanctuary cities should be....sanctioned. But someone help me understand the direct relationship between the crime and the punishment here. Is the Trusted Travelers program something that can be exploited by illegals somehow, or is this a way to withhold federal dollars to sanctuary cities, and this just happens to be the ‘pilot’ program targeted?

Yet another article where the headline doesn't match the text. Headline says:

Trump Administration Suspends New Yorkers From 'Trusted Traveler' Programs

The article says:

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security says it will no longer allow New York state residents to enroll in programs..."

SO which is it?

I empathize with your situation, but if it's any consolation, it will hurt our enemies more than it will hurt us. I think it will get resolved, and let's hope it creates enough pressure to get New York to do the right thing.

Let us hope it is only a temporary measure.

I suspect this is only going to create a delay for the folks who won’t be able to sign on to a ‘fast pass’ type deal.

Awwwah...

The Democratic governor, in an interview with member station WAMC, noted that New York is just one of a number of states that have such a law in place, and that the Trump administration — contrary to usual procedure — did not direct concerns to state officials privately before going public with the suspension.

Why waste time going though the "usual procedure" when that would change nothing in the end.

Suck it up NY.

***”And if they have to inconvenience New Yorkers to make their political points, so be it, because they’re all about the politics.”***

Ummm, that would be what the new law managed to do... inconvenience New Yorkers. They were trying to make the political point, and because they have the mainstream media on their side, they say ths is being done in retaliation to the new law.

It isn’t, in my humble opinion. This is just the unintended consequences (or perhaps intended consequences) of a law that says that the CBP and other federal agencies are PROHIBITED from using DMV data without getting a subpoena for each person.

This bad law not only provides sanctuary for criminals, it hurts law abiding ones who can’t get their applications approved. I have a family member who travels internationally fairly regularly for work. She applied for renewal but hasn’t been approved. She turned in her application last May. They have what they need from her previous approval, except for an update, I would guess, from the DMV. So as of right now, she is out of luck.

Very happy that something is being done to counter the insanity of Emperor Cuomo’s Socialist Democrap policies.
