I think this writer is wrong to dismiss Bloomberg so lightly. With the Rat party in disarray, he will pose as a strong confident centrist leader, full of New York bluff and bluster, and not be intimidated by Trump. The non socialist rat voters will seek refuge in such a figure who promises stability and familiarity.

Bloomberg will make anxious rats feel safe in stormy seas.

Agree about Bloomberg. Right now I’d say he is the top “beat Trump” candidate the Dems have. That’s not saying much, of course. How does a Bloomberg-Stacey Abrams ticket sound?

It’s kind of like a hobby for some folks.

I am no expert on the issue, but the democrats have a bunch of super delegates that can choose their own candidate.

Their system is simply set up to nominate the favorite candidate of the party puppeteers.

Even if Biden does have a poor showing, I believe he could compete with the help of those delegates. If memory serves me well, it’s really a huge part of why Hillary was their last nominee.

Am I reading this wrong?

The super delegates don’t vote on the first ballot. If there is no outright winner on the first ballot, then the super delegates will play a huge role in selecting the candidate.

Hard to know if it will continue, but it seems that the Dems are juggling Biden, Bernie, Warren, Buttigieg and maybe Bloomberg. If they can keep that up, they can go into the convention with no one getting much of a majority on the first ballot. That’s an excellent strategy if they hope to have the superdelegates crown a queen.

Agree.

The stop Bernie movement is all about keeping him from getting 50% +1 delegates.

If the perception is that Bernie was cheated out of the nomination then the Bernie bots will explode.

Invest in popcorn futures.

I wholeheartedly agree.

Additionally, Republicans MUST regain leadership of the House of Representatives. If not, it’ll be another four years of impeachment.

It’s time to turn the tables on the democrats and have some hearings spotlighting the Bidens, et al.

Trump’s SOTU was pro blue collar and pro black.

Tough for Dems to fight against those things.

We have to Reelect POTUS Trump, win the House AND retain the Senate.

Senate Seats in AZ, CO and ME are potentially at risk. We need to pickup the Senate Seat in MI to offset having Benedict McRomney as the deciding Vote.
