Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, says he will vote to convict President Trump in the Senate's impeachment trial.

He’s calculating that he’ll vote yes, and there won’t be enough to convict, so his yes won’t count.
When he was governor, he only vetoed bills if the house and senate tallies were veto proof. he could veto, make a speech, look tough, and by plan have no effect.
If he endorses someone in an election it usually is only when the candidate i way ahead, so again there will be no impact, just optics.
Let’s hope his plan works and he’s not the R that is the threshold vote for conviction.
