U.S. Sen. Susan Collins, seen as a possible swing vote in President Trumps impeachment trial, announced on the Senate floor Tuesday that she will not vote to remove the president.
This decision is not about whether you like or dislike this president or agree with or oppose his policies or approve or disapprove of his conduct in other circumstances, Collins said. Rather, it is about whether the charges meet the very high constitutional standard of treason, bribery or other high crimes or misdemeanors.

Drama queen as usual..
Perfect Pierre Delecto stands alone.
Want to bet that Pierre Delecto votes with the Communists?
Did Mittens declare one way or the other??
Good! Much as I dislike Collins, I have to give her credit for her stand on Justice Kavanaugh.
She reminds me a bit of a quote attributed to Winston Churchill to the effect that Americans can always be depended upon to do the right thing once all other options have been exhausted.
Good for her! AM so glad to know she will vote to acquit our President.
I realize most here detest her but the left will be doing all they can to remove her from her office in November.
Her vote matters.
At least shes with the gop side
Great. Those of you who badmouthed her apologize. Yes, she can be annoying. But I believe she tries to do the right thing. At least she thinks before she votes.
Good for Susan Collins...
You said it.
Not a surprise. Will be 53-47 tomorrow. Democrats have done the impossible: they have united the Republican Party behind President Trump.
Pierre has seen the tea leaves...
But he will have some boring speech...
Like Murkowski she wanted it both ways. That’s ok but not for Murkowski.
Too little too late.
She should also apologize to the president for considering the Impeavhment articles as genuine. ( They are de facto and de jure bogus)
Remember, this is a political process. As a politician Collins owes the President an apology as well as a dual acquittal.
Trump will get all 53 GOP votes. Thats all he needs to be acquitted tomorrow.
She thinks before she votes. And after she votes. But not hard enough unfortunately in both cases.

Umm, I doubt that the majority of Utah voters are for conviction of Trump. If Romney votes yes there will be problems with his electorate not to mention with Trump during the next four years. Romney will be politically a dead man walking. Im guessing he will swallow big and vote no.
,
Ah, as long as she vote to acquit, I don’t care is she does the dramatic speech from Gone With the Wind on live television.
