In what may be a Super Bowl record, the NFL managed to make viewers angry with 30 minutes to go before the Super Bowl 2020 kickoff with a new commercial set to Johnny Cashs Ragged Old Flag. The three-minute ad followed Medal of Honor recipient Kyle Carpenter and other members of the military as they reflected on their service, but not everyone came away with good vibes. While the NFLs Ragged Old Flag ad didnt specifically mention Colin Kaepernick, many viewers felt that the commercial was a way of throwing some not-so-subtle shade at the former San Francisco 49er. As one viewer put it, That ragged old flag bit was the stinkiest propaganda piece Ive ever seen.

I see Beyoncé and JZ sat during the national anthem.
Beautiful ad with no mention of Kaepernick. Some people are just looking for a reason to be butt hurt. The Progs need to get over themselves. Nobody cares what the think or whether they’re offended.
The traitor show biz types had Jay Z and Beyonce sitting during the national anthem. So it’s still game on!
I was pretty skeptical when it started expecting it to degenerate but it turned out good. Half time? Didn’t see any of that.
I question the ‘many viewers’ aspect of the article.
How many is ‘many’?
How many of them relative to those who supported it?
How many of them relative to their readership?
Ding Ding Ding. We have a winner!
A little off topic. Does anyone know who the old woman was standing next to Peyton Manning during the commercial at the beginning of the game. It was the one with the kid with Odell Beckham hair running the football through the streets past all the NFL players. At the end he runs into the stadium and the woman hands him the game ball and he runs it in and gives it to the official to start the game. Cute commercial, knew some of the people, but not all. I’m guessing she was related to one of the old families who started the NFL, but don’t know.
Well, possibly “many” in bloomburg terms. Which can be whatever number he decides it is and we should shut up. Or something. I find it awesome that some assclown libs were triggered by it. Even it it’s only one.
I’ve never seen an NFL QBs ability collapse as quickly and catastrophically as Kaepernick’s. He went from a being a feared offensive threat to a guy who couldn’t throw, run or make decisions within just a handful of games. Why? Drugs? Disease? TBI?
OMG So, the REST OF US cannot be patriotic, due to, it might offend Colon?
This is amazing that anyone even THINKS this.
Cause everyone know the Super-Bowl should be all about one screw job that hates the nation.
Kaperbitch, get over yourself!
Radicalized girl friend from what I heard someplace. Possibly a moose limb.
Trump Ad - Thumbs Up
Bloomberg Ad - The Finger.
Somebody pointed this out that few notice about Krapperdink. Once his girlfriend got her hooks into him, she turned him vegan and he started losing bulk. His performance got worse the more bulk he lost.
I love the smell of burning Kaepernick in the morning.
Colon Krapernick deserves that, if not more!
“Duh, I’m offended.”
Then thank the man wearing that blue ribbon and star, for your ability to express your opinion, moron!!
If anyone--incouding Kaepernick or anyone else--falls into that category, he/she needs a slap in the face.
A Slap in the Face to Colin Kaepernick.
They say that like it’s a bad thing.
I took it as the NFLs apology for all the disrespect they’ve dished on this nation and our armed forces. It was very well done.
A little off topic. Does anyone know who the old woman was standing next to Peyton Manning during the commercial at the beginning of the game.
Technically not a commercial, it was part of the opening of the game. The grand lady was George Halas’ 97 year old daughter:
Virginia Halas McCaskey (born January 5, 1923) is the principal owner of the Chicago Bears of the National Football League. She is the eldest child of former Bears coach and owner George Halas, who left the team to his daughter upon his death in 1983, and Minnie Bushing Halas. After the death of Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson in March 2014, she became the oldest owner in the NFL.
