complete and utter constitutional chaos,

That is what they have been working toward for over
100 years.

Look at what they’ve done to our institutions, our
electoral process is being put in doubt, our children
are being taught to distrust our form of government
and even their own parents.

God help us secure our nation from further depredations.

Just like their impeachment effort will fail, this will fail.

For now. But eventually, there will be another liberal majority on the Supreme Court. The ERA may have lain dormant another 20 years, but a test case will be ginned up the moment a 5th liberal judge is confirmed. A liberal majority will deem it ratified. And the entire press will echo all 100 verses of "established law of the land."

God bless Phyllis Schaffley and God rest her soul for stopping this stupid stampede over a cliff when I came of age in the mid 1970s!

I think it still has to be ratified by the states to be an amendment to the Constitution. 3/4 of the states

It will fail because you cannot alter the Constitution through the courts.

Several states sued in December to block the ERA, citing that they, and other states, had rescinded their approval and could not be counted, even if a court decided that a time limit was not allowed.

I don’t particularly mind the possibility that an amendment runs forever, if a state is allowed to rescind their approval before the last state ratifies.

We have had amendments that lasted centuries, the 27th amendment, which started in 1789 and got the last necessary state in 1992.

Just so you understand, the whole point of this is to target Christians for not accepting the LGBTQIXYTZ agenda. They will use this to persecute Christians and put them in the camps.

"True. But still the substance isn’t at issue here. The process is invalid, having expired as WRITTEN."

Very eloquent sir. But to put in in the terms that most will understand, "Those Attorney Generals do not know sh-t about constitutional law." They are but actors on the political left wing stage. However, it is amusing.

It will fail, but not because Scotus doesn’t regularly amend the Constitution.

They are actually arguing that congress cant set time limits on its own amendments.

I don’t know what’s stronger, the libtard stupidity or their complete lack of understanding about our form of government.

The Constitution provides that an amendment may be proposed either by the Congress
with a two-thirds majority vote in both the House of Representatives and the Senate
or by a constitutional convention called for by two-thirds of the State legislatures.
