John Bolton warned the chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee shortly after his departure in September that former ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch's ousting was 'improper,' it was revealed Wednesday.
'He and I spoke by telephone on September 23,' Democratic Representative Eliot Engel revealed in a statement Wednesday. 'On that call, Ambassador Bolton suggested to me — unprompted — that the committee look into the recall of Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch.'
'He strongly implied that something improper had occurred around her removal as our top diplomat in Kyiv,' Engel said.
The call, on September 23, came just a few days after Bolton was ousted from his post in the administration.

The president can appoint and recall ambassadors. SCOTUS does not have this power. Congress does not have this power. The executive branch has this power. They are HIS representatives. If one badmouths him to foreign leaders there’s one that needs to go.
How is her removal improper? She serves at the pleasure of the president.
