White House officials described the plan as realistic and said Israel is prepared to act. According to White House officials, the plan calls for a two-state solution including the state of Israel and the "future" state of Palestine. Under the plan, the Palestinians would have to reach certain benchmarks to achieve a state. Those benchmarks include rooting out terrorism, stopping what they call pay to slay, implementing steps toward free speech, and other political reforms.

Interesting stuff, thanks
I haven’t caught up on all the details such as percentage of land area etc. Looks like they offered swaps of land to expand Gaza in return for the Israeli settlement blocks build around Jerusalem. A few months back Jared Kushner was trying to raise $50 billion, most for Palestinian development but some for Jordan and Egypt. I figure that number will go up in negotiations. Supposedly Clinton offered $30 billion back in 1999.
What I like about Trump’s approach here is that unlike all previous attempts he is doing this out in the open. All others were secret meetings which allowed people to make up excuses to refuse and to get their militias and gangs to riot and protest. Doing this in the open bypasses, to some degree, the power of the leadership because the people themselves are observers and the ‘man on the street’ opinion will have an impact in how the leaders can respond. It’s sort of like Trump’s campaign style - appeal to the people and bypass the traditional machines.
Outsider pressure will also play a part but to some degree I think it will be harder to be intransigent if some large majority of the people think “enough of this war, let’s get our state, let’s build it into a productive society so our children and future generations can have a better life”. Hey, I can hope at least... as it is they’ve forsaken 5 or 6 generations to poverty and strife. Time to end it.
And also should mention, Palestinians have a leadership vacuum. Abu Mazen is very old, no clear successor, and he has several rival factions like Hamas in Gaza who stripped a lot of his power. Time for a deal is now.
As said before, it’s early as the plan has just been revealed....however Palestinians are programmed to resist, period. So when they discover they’re going to loose even more if they don’t come to the table to negotiate the tide might turn....they’ve already been cut off in funds and the Arab push will remove theirs as well if they keep resisting.
Palestinians made a mess of the West Bank as well.
“Then what is left to make the Palestinian state out of?”
Buy them a strip of desert between the Qattara Depression and the Eastern border of Lybia. Make the capital Benghazi PAy Lybia and Egypt. The give Isreal the Gaza Strip
could you, please, decipher the “KAG”.
Thanks.
He use to give both sides, which is a good thing, but now I find it difficult hearing him even out the gate!
I’v been listening quite a bit to Fox Business of late.....much more appealing hosts and interesting guests.
Well we do know evntually there will be a Peace deal that sticks for a time...even if this one isn’t it a plan needs to be in place to even begin negotiations.
Yes indeed Israel belongs to the Jews, how they get there is another story yet to be realized in entire. This two state solution, even if accepted, will only be temporary at best..
I don’t expect the Palistinian Leadership to agree off the bat...I do think enough pressure can be brought on them to get back to the table though. And if they don’t there will be a further price to pay as they’ve already seen.
People said other things ‘can’t be done’ and yet it was accomplished under this administration. This will be a heavy lift but not impossible.....
Islamic teaching also says there can be a temporary peace....generally it amounts to regrouping, collecting revenue, and an appearance they are co-operating.... especially if they’re tired of going without basics.
Of course it is ...but even Jordon sent back the criminal and derranged Palestinians, they didn’t want anything to do with them, and neither do the rest of the me nations. Nobody can get along with them nor likes them.... They really are not a sane population when it comes to living next to or with other nations. They simply cannot get along with other people.
However that does not mean the younger generation is beyond hope....they have cell phones and Internet and see how the rest of the world lives.....and they want it too.
......” Israels right to exist will not be recognized by the Muslim world”.....
Wrong they already have...
In recent years, a noticeable shift has taken place between Israel and the Sunni Arab world: the scope of common interests between them has widened, and they have found themselves successfully cooperating on a number of strategically important issues, such as security, energy, and the sharing of natural resources. Although most of these efforts take place behind the scenes, some have happened in the public eye.

You’re absolutely right.....it’s an either or else deal.
Don’t underestimate how and when God chooses to change circumstances either. He often uses the unthinkable to set the stage for his ultimate plans. Trump as President of the United states of America was for many unthinkable..but here we are.
This is the by far the best proposal ever put forward. A TUNNEL connecting the West Bank and Gaza!? All that territory!? Plus, a portion of East Jerusalem as a capital!?
However, what is that “industrial and agricultural” area in the south of Israel? Is it intended to be an economic base for the future state?
Israel is being very generous and agreeable here. The Palis would have a fairly large, coherent piece of territory and Israel looks to be keeping their biggest settlements while giving up other territories to compensate. This is impressively balanced and fair. If the Palis reject this, they will prove to me irrevocably that they do not desire true peace. They will never get better than this and if they choose to continue with their hatred, they will never have any kind of future except pain and hardship. I have little sympathy for them already, and I would have none if they choose to continue war against Israel.
On 29 November 2012, UN General Assembly resolution 67/19 passed, upgrading Palestine to “non-member observer state” status in the United Nations. The change in status was described as “de facto recognition of the sovereign state of Palestine”.
Palestinians are actually Arabs that lived in an area called Palestine....The history of the IsraeliPalestinian conflict began with the establishment of the state of Israel in 1948. This conflict came from the violence in the Palestine area between Israelis and Arabs from 1920 and erupted into full-scale hostilities in the 194748 civil war.
KAG means KEEP AMERICA GREAT, President Trump’s re-election theme for 2020!!
Palestinians are actually Trans-Jordanians.
