Everytown for Gun Safety announced on Monday its plan to spend at least $60 million in the 2020 election, which is nearly double what the National Rifle Association (NRA) spent in 2016.
Billionaire former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg, who is running for the Democratic presidential nomination, is a co-founder of Everytown and is the organizations largest donor.
Bloomberg has put gun control at the forefront of his campaign, but Everytown has said they will treat him like any other candidate in terms of endorsements.
This massive 2020 effort is fueled by a combination of financial resources, unprecedented grassroots power and a consensus among more than 90 percent of Americans across party lines that we need action now to reduce gun violence, Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action, a part of Everytown for Gun Safety, said in the press release.
In 2016, the NRA spent $36 million, backing President Trump.
Everytown said it is focused on defeating President Trump, flipping the Senate and defending the House majority, as well as engaging on a state level.
It mentioned Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas and Wisconsin as states they are working in.
Everytown spent the most among gun violence prevention groups in the 2018 midterms at $30 million, outspending the NRA. It also spent over $2.5 million on the Virginias General Assembly elections in 2019.
How about this group instead of wasting their 60 million send me one-tenth of that and I will do more good than they ever could with it. And make them 100 times that back.
And it is this kind of arrogance ( and overt anti-American activism) that makes so many people hate bloomyw guts. His chances of getting elected are next to zero. No matter how much money he spends
No doubt about it...
There will be a moment....when we have to act.
Bloomy earned his money and I respect him for that, but this will scare off a lot of voters who are in the middle of the political spectrum.
Ping!
I control my guns, Mike.
I don’t care how much money you spend, or how many illegal laws you pass, you will never control my guns.
Decent Americans need to donate to good candidates and volunteer in their campaigns. We need to make absolutely certain that the anti-gun globalist thugs do not take power in November. If they win, the best possible outcome will still be far worse than 1861-1865.
Lets keep this FReepathon moving and wrap it up early, Folks!
Democrats always tell us we have to get the money out of politics, but they don’t mean THEIR money.
There is a group of useful Bloomin’ “moms” meeting with legislators in Boise to push his ideas in Idaho. Good luck with that micro mikey.
Keep pissing away the bucks. We know now that you will take our gun rights away. No way to put the genie back in the bottle!
The rich Oligarchs do not want the peasants armed. Same story for thousands of years.

TIME to return to the Texas Declaration of Independence!
It has demanded us to deliver up our arms, which are essential to our defence, the rightful property of freemen, and formidable only to tyrannical governments.
Wheb the Red Coats seized guns..

The Post’s May 9 news analysis on militias and America’s revolutionary heritage quotes colonial historian Rosemarie Zagarri as stating that the British “didn’t try to disarm” the Americans and never “prohibited the colonists from bearing or owning arms.” Reality was quite the contrary, as I have documented in my 1989 book “A Right to Bear Arms” and in a University of Dayton Law Review article, “Encroachments of the Crown on the Liberty of the Subject: Pre-Revolutionary Origins of the Second Amendment” (Fall 1989).
As British troops sailed to Boston in 1768, the Boston Gazette reported that the ministry commanded things “more grievous to the people, than any thing hitherto made known,” the first of which was “that the inhabitants of this Province are to be disarmed.” By 1774, the British were routinely conducting warrantless searches and seizures of firearms in the Boston area, leading the Gazette to exclaim that “what most irritated the people next to seizing their arms and ammunition” was the arrest of patriot political leaders. King George III ordered the seizure of any firearms imported into the colonies.
Just after the Redcoats’ attempt to seize the arms of the rebel militia at Lexington and Concord in 1775, Gen. Thomas Gage ordered all the inhabitants of Boston to turn in their arms at Faneuil Hall for temporary safekeeping. When the people complied, troops seized the firearms, never to return them. A patriot poet described Gen. Gage’s order as saying:
That whosoe’er keeps gun or pistol,
I’ll spoil the motion of his systole.
“The Declaration of Causes of Taking Up Arms” passed by the Continental Congress cited Gen. Gage’s perfidy in seizing the Bostonians’ arms. The arms seizures were a major cause of the Revolution. STEPHEN P. HALBROOK Fairfax

They’ve got Europe. Soros said that we’re the only thing blocking a global government. Soros is NOT an outcast with the oligarchs no matter how many times Freepers talk about his NAZI past. They don’t care. We’re seeing our public officials being bought openly and no one protests.
They are assaulting us with massive legal and illegal immigration. How many times have I heard ‘only if they come here legally’ and bring their entire freaking village. Third world socialists are not our culture and I really don’t care if you married one.
Thank you, my FRiend!
Most of all we need to vote.
As a Deplorable, money can’t buy my vote. Most of my neighbor’s votes can not be bought with advertising dollars.
In the last election cycle Trump proved that message and policy were far more important than TV or radio advertising spots.
I encourage all the liberals to spend a fortune so they deplete their piggy banks and are unable to buy politician votes.
