An Idaho state legislator plans to introduce a bill that would require biologically male athletes to compete on boys sports teams, regardless of whether they identify as a transgender girl or not.
Idaho state Rep. Barbara Ehardt is the latest Republican lawmaker across the country to introduce legislation ensuring girls aren’t forced to compete against biologically male athletes.
The wave of proposed legislation comes as biological males have piled up victories in female athletics.
“Boys and men will not be able to take the place of girls and women in sports because it’s not fair. We cannot physically compete against boys and men,” Ehardt told East Idaho News on Monday.
“The inherent biological, scientific advantages that boys and men have over girls and women, even if they were to take hormones, even if they were to spend a couple of years on estrogen, that’s not going to replace the inherent biological advantages that boys and men have,” she added.
Ehardt’s view is backed up by scientific research on the subject, which shows that biologically male athletes who identify as transgender retain physiological advantages over female athletes, even after undergoing hormone therapy.
Biological males who identify as transgender have excelled in female athletics. Two biologically male runners in Connecticut have dominated girls high school track in the liberal state, which allows athletes to compete as the gender with which they identify.

To be fair, if a man wants to be a woman he should go back into the womb and regestate (that’s a new word).

Hopefully they can get the bill passed before the incoming Californians flip the legislature.
There ought to be laws preventing citizen immigrants to a new state from local/state voting for 10-20 years, if not forever. This would prevent states from flipping by ignorant outsiders who don’t know the local culture.

They have told me, my entire life women can do anything a man can do.

I as a male whom identifies as a male could exceed females in sport. If I self identified as a female despite the fact I am male would have a totally unfair advantage in sports competing against females. Even a male that has undergone hormone therapy and perhaps surgical procedures has more muscle mass. The male is designed to run, hunt and fight and protect his tribe and family. The female can not do this at the level the male can. The female is inferior in physical attributes but she is not an inferior person.
The female is a moderating influence in the tribe and a most magnificent person. She is the factor that civilizes the male dominated tribe.
It is really that simple.

If we have already lowered standards (physical standards, endurance requirements, performance,etc.) as part of letting females perform certain jobs (firefighter, combat, etc.) ..... Well is it really UNFAIR to allow an XY person to compete against a bunch of XX persons?

Nicely stated. The female is a spectacular creation. Capable of many things and of creative passions a man does not posses. Provides social and civilizing graces that a man does not. Bears the next generation and endures pain a man could never tolerate.
And some of em are easy on the eyes and nice to be around.
