In what is rapidly turning into one of the most bizarre developing stories in baseball history, a Twitter account alleging to be the niece of Carlos Beltran is beginning to drop some of the most profound bombshells the MLB has ever seen.
A day after saying her uncle was stepping down as Mets manager a full 24 hours before the news of Beltrans actual resignation officially broke, the mysterious account is now allegeding that Houston Astros superstars Jose Altuve and Alex Bregman wore devices that buzzed on their shoulders, that were controlled by a hallway video guy who was already deciphering the signs of Houston opponents in real time.

Say it ain’t so, Jose.
Altuve is one of my favorite players.
The catcher needs to know what is coming. There would be 20+ Wild pitches a game if the catcher had to guess.
body language while at bat may be revealing. a twich when buzzer buzzes.
Maybe the buzzers gave them electric shocks when they swung and missed. :-)
It was confirmed Bobby Thompson and the Giants did steal signs that summer.
Stealing signs on the field is as old as baseball, however there is a big difference between that and employing all kinds of technology.
What’s next, bugging the opposing team’s dugout? Or in the NFL, hack the opposing team’s headsets radio frequencies?
The Democrat motto?
Watch what Altuve did after he hit the pennant winning homer off of Chapman.
"The rose goes in the front, big guy!"
Pitchers routinely shake off pitches, but as an earlier poster said the pitcher and the catcher need to be on the same page.
Why thank you.....and SORRY, but the jokes make themselves....
I guess I wouldn’t be shocked now. The independent camera with a feed of the catcher’s signs hooked up to a buzzer under clothing seems to be pretty unbeatable. Who knows if it’s true, but I do recall Altuve getting pretty upset that his teammates were trying to rip his jersey off in celebration after a win. He said his wife was upset at him being shirtless I think. On the other hand, you would think his teammates wouldn’t have tried that if there was something to expose and everyone was in on it.
I also recall that teams were going to start measuring biometric feedback, I wonder if that involves electrodes and wires. Of course that in itself would be a pretty good cover to explain the hardware I guess.
Freegards
They are the Horses and the catchers are the jockeys. And the brains. They can always call off the sign but the catcher has seen the batter way.more and also see patterns over the innings with pitching changes. Reel smart pitchers work it out with them.
Why cant the pitchers decide themselves what to throw? Why do they need to be told?
If the pitcher sent signals the batter and everyone in the ballpark would know what pitch was being thrown.
And the pitcher can always shake off the catchers signs but its not recommended. : )
Countermeasures?

“Why cant the pitchers decide themselves what to throw? Why do they need to be told?”
The catcher is getting his instruction from the manager in the dugout as to which pitch to use. The manager decides the pitches, not the catcher. The pitcher has the option to change the call, much like a quarterback in football.
“Beltran was only with the Astros in 2017 and a check of Bregmans stats would show he was better in 2019 than previously. Somewhere in 2018, the system was effectively dismantled because MLB stationed a rep in the clubhouse ready room. Altuve had a knee injury in 2018 and, since then hits less often but hits for power mor”
So in other words the NYY and Dodgers got the brunt of the cheating in year 2017.
kind of weird . very interesting video.
Houston Asterisks.
