In what is rapidly turning into one of the most bizarre developing stories in baseball history, a Twitter account alleging to be the niece of Carlos Beltran is beginning to drop some of the most profound bombshells the MLB has ever seen.
A day after saying her uncle was stepping down as Mets manager a full 24 hours before the news of Beltrans actual resignation officially broke, the mysterious account is now allegeding that Houston Astros superstars Jose Altuve and Alex Bregman wore devices that buzzed on their shoulders, that were controlled by a hallway video guy who was already deciphering the signs of Houston opponents in real time.

Sad, if true. Nevertheless, as sports pundits have written elsewhere, the players are likely to get off without penalty, due to the strength of the players union. However, their reputations will be tarnished, if true.

At least they weren't using remote control vibrating panties. That would be WRONG! (Careful if you search the internet for that phrase...)

Well, there's the answer. The catcher should be able to buzz the pitcher as to which pitch he want. And after 4 shake-offs, the catcher should be able to shock the crap out of the pitcher.
I'd start watching baseball again if they did that.

Batting averaged about to drop as much as Pudge Rodriguez did when he went off the juice. Still was a good catcher.

Why can’t the pitchers decide themselves what to throw? Why do they need to be told?
To: FreeReign
I haven't really followed baseball since I discovered horse racing 50+ years ago, but I find this whole sign stealing thing a bit absurd.
Teams have always tried to steal other teams' signs. Some even suggest that Bobby Thompson got information from some spy with binoculars in the Polo Grounds centerfield clubhouse. The technology has improved since them. Let them play.

Beltran was only with the Astros in 2017 and a check of Bregman’s stats would show he was better in 2019 than previously. Somewhere in 2018, the system was effectively dismantled because MLB stationed a rep in the clubhouse ready room. Altuve had a knee injury in 2018 and, since then hits less often but hits for power more.
