To say that conservative talk radio host Mark Levin isn't happy with Senators Rand Paul and Mike Lee would be an understatement of epic proportions. The reason? Their decision to stand in front of leftwing-media cameras to blast the Trump administration after they were briefed on the decision to take out Iranian Terror General Qasem Soleimani. "Code Pink Republicans," as Levin called them, misinterpret the United States Constitution by pretending it's a libertarian or even populist document, which it is not.
"The briefing lasted only 75 minutes, whereupon our briefers left," Lee said afterward. "This, however, is not the biggest problem I have with the briefing, which I would add was probably the worst briefing Ive seen at least on a military issue in the nine years Ive served in the United States Senate."
"I find it insulting and I find it demeaning to the Constitution of the United States, he went on to say. "Its un-American. Its unconstitutional. And its wrong. ... They are appearing before a coordinate branch of government responsible for their funding, for their confirmation, for any approval of any military action they might take. They had to leave after 75 minutes while they were in the process of telling us that we need to be good little boys and girls and not debate this in public. I find that to be absolutely insane."
Rand Paul added that the briefing was "less than satisfying" and blasted the administration for using the 2002 war authorization (against Iraq) as the basis for the airstrike against Soleimani. "I see no way in the world you could logically argue that an authorization to have war with Saddam Hussein has anything to with having war with people currently in Iraq," Paul said, adding that this justification is actually"absurd" and "an insult."

Small men with small minds working hard for the other side.
Wasn’t Levin a Never Trumper until he realized he’d lose his audience?
And whenever Trump looks like he’s going to pull out of the Middle East, doesn’t Levin start ragging on him again?
I’m not a fan of Lee - who was also a Never Trump - but Rand Paul has been right on foreign policy more than most Republicans. along with Trump, Rand opposed George Bush’s Iraq War, which Trump correctly calls one of the the biggest foreign policy disasters in US History.
So i’ll cut Rand some slack - especially because he opposes continued “forever wars” in the Middle East. Unlike Levin.
Code Pinkos.
I wrote Rand Paul off years ago. His comments come at the worst possible times, and are seemingly perfectly crafted to be used by the Left against sound policy.
Its hard to imagine him being this stupid. Now Mike Lee is on the same page with him.
No more wars in the middle-east would give Levin a freaking heart attack.
I agree, this stunt they just pulled is beyond the pale.
President Trump has just done Americans and the world a huge service eliminating Soleimani and getting radical Iran’s attention but these two pull their libertarian crap on him...Pathetic.
Mike Lee.
Gaydar pinging.

Levin was like many people and had no idea what Trump was going to do as President and was rightly concerned. Once Trump established his ideology Levin came around to support him, however not blindly supporting him, which is good in my opinion.
Levin is a lot of things but he is not a liar and he is not motivated by keeping an audience at all costs. Listening to him for one show will make that apparent.
Levin is really sharp and informative especially when taking about procedural processes in the house and executive branch.
It would be a real benefit to some FReepers to listen to him explain how the three branches of government function in relation to each other and avoid some of the ridiculous posts they make.
People can say what they will about Mark Levin, but he has seen the benefit of a President Trump and now stands behind him the vast majority of them time. His argument was perfect. Will the ass-clowns listen? Most likely not.
“So ill cut Rand some slack - especially because he opposes continued forever wars in the Middle East. Unlike Levin.”
There’s room for dissent. Rand Paul is an interesting character, sometimes he makes me crazy, but he’s consistent. Matt Gaetz voted with the Dems, and explained very well why he did so. Gaetz has been great in his support of President Trump, so this disagreement is simply that, a disagreement. Actually Gaetz makes a good case, and in more rational times, he’d be 100% correct.
Mark Levin is simply annoying. His schtick is to slowly ramp himself into a rage. Meh.
Dems are almost always united like rows of uniformed soldiers passing by a reviewing stand in front of a dictator. The have a majority that stays a 99.9% majority on abortions, open borders, impeachment and hating Trump.
Due to intellectual capabilities, freedom of thought and other reasons, the Right is usually splintered. Keeping Collins and Romney behind us and Lee and Paul to our side and radio hosts with us is like reasoning with goats to stay in a pen with the gate open.
Well said, you’re dead on the mark.
Mike Lee is an asshole
Bump!
Mark Levin believes that Anwar al-Awlaki’s kids, born in Yemen to one citizen parent, are natural born citizens eligible to be President.
If Ted is, they are.
Yes, it really rubs me the wrong way.
For this stunt I label them Leelzebub and the Paulestinian.
