I represent more troops than any other member of this body. I buried one of them earlier today at Arlington.
If our servicemembers have the courage to fight and die in these wars, Congress ought to have the courage to vote for or against them.
I’m voting for this resolution.

There are problems with the Resolution. For example, it allows the President to defend against an imminent armed attack. What about an imminent cyber attack that could be just as devastating, or more so? Why did Matt Gaetz vote for this?
Some education on this issue will go a long way.

His newfound celebrity has made him a little heady. When he began to get face time he was measured, serious, and humble. Over the past months he’s become over confident, and yesterday on a panel (on Ingraham, I think), he tried smart-ass comedy, and the host was not amused.
I hope he decides to vote the right way when the time comes.

No excuse for any of them, putting aside for a moment that the War Powers Act is likely unconstitutional, requiring the support of a rat-controlled House to use the military is an insane position for any Republican to take.
Gaetz is a smartass who’s become enamored with his newfound political celebrity status. He needs to be taken down a few notches.
I HAD a lot of respect for this guy. Not now. Screw him.
Not a bad guy, but his egotism perhaps blinded him this time; and he sat on a hot stove. I will be interested to see how he reacts to criticism.
