"unless (i) fewer than 50 employees work in the building or"

"...or..." Looks like they're after a big range somewhere.

If you want firearms discharged indoor at state buildings...this is how you get that.

What possible justification do the fascists have for this? Has there been a rash of private indoor gun range killings that escaped the news? Why is this any of the state’s business? Even in California, indoor range businesses are plentiful, safe, and useful.

‘unless (i) fewer than 50 employees work in the building or’
= = =

in the building, not employees of the range.

So no gun range in the basement of some building used for other business. Or no using the big manufacturing warehouse on the weekend.

If I have interpreted any of the law correctly . . .

How about the Boy Scout BB Gun range at the Fairgounds?

I can see indoor ranges becoming the new speakeasy.

Send SWAT to close down a shooting range, right.

I would guess not many either. So who is the target of this bill? Schools and universities that still have shooting sports?

Maybe I am misreading, but it seems to allow indoor shooting ranges in buildings where fewer than 50 employees work. I have been to a lot of indoor shooting ranges, and I don’t think I have ever seen one in a building with more than 50 employees. I don’t think this law will actually shut down any shooting ranges, unless they are in a strip mall or office building.

The intent is not to actually shut down any ranges today. They just want the law on the books and precedent set, so they can eventually bring that number from 50 to 2.

“No worries. The whole state is going to be a range soon enough.”

True. And the trees may be bearing some strange fruit this year.

45 What on earth is the problem? Does VA just sit around dreaming up oddball stuff to see who they can tick off?

This is a full court press by the Democrat-Socialist Party in VA fully backed by Terry McAuliff/ George Soros/ Michael Bloomberg. Other blue states are watching breathlessly and making their plans too.

Captain John Parker (Massachusetts Militia) Memorial, Lexington Green, Lexington, MA, 4/19/1775.

They’ll leave outdoor ranges alone, I expect! In a pig’s eye they will! VA voters need to clean up their house - majority residents DC employees?

Its too late. Rigged digital election machines, motor-voter ID, allowing current prisoners to vote, illegal aliens/ refugees continuing to pour-in. The only peaceful solution is a dissolution of the red counties from the blue counties. We haven't seen that since VA-WV. 1/20/2020 - MLKJr. Day in Richmond will be an interesting day.

I think you are misreading the bill. It provides: "It is unlawful to operate an indoor shooting range in any building not owned or leased by the Commonwealth or the federal government unless (i) fewer than 50 employees work in the building or (ii) (a) at least 90 percent of the users of the indoor shooting range are law-enforcement officers ...."
