Borden Dairy Co., one of America's oldest and largest dairy companies, on Monday became the second major milk producer to file for bankruptcy in the last two months.
Tumbling milk consumption combined with the rising price of milk have crippled the dairy industry with debt. Dean Foods, America's largest milk producer, filed for bankruptcy November 12.

I love cow milk products. Especially cheeses. I can no longer eat them.
I dont drink anything called milk. But I do use products of things like coconut milk in cooked products. I eat vegan margarine and coffeemate in my coffee. Id prefer not to. But I have no choice for health reasons.

They could expand their business if they started producing cheese.
Wow, another American company gone. When I was a boy, I enjoyed walking past the Borden bottling facility in San Francisco’s Mission District. It was huge, taking up a whole block, with large glass windows facing the street so all can see the thousands of bottles on conveyer lines being filled and capped. We also had them delivering milk bottles to our house, lots of Borden delivery vans and trucks everywhere. Now most factories, warehouses and rail freight lines are gone from the Mission District. Things back then were made here, now it comes from China.
