(CNN) Much has been made of President Donald Trump's strong standing with voters on the religious right, especially after a Christianity Today editorial called for Trump to be impeached and removed from office. The editorial generated a lot of press because Trump won white born-again evangelicals with more than 75% of the vote in 2016 and his approval rating with them remains at 75% in CNN/SSRS polling taken in the middle of last year.
Figures such as these, however, can often obscure as much as they reveal. Trump's standing with all religious voters -- and, in particular, nonwhite religious voters -- is considerably weaker than it is among white evangelicals.
Heading into the 2020 general election, Trump can certainly count on the strong backing of white born-again evangelicals. If he loses, however, it'll be in part because his approval rating is only in the low 40s among those who attend religious services at least once a week and are not white born-again evangelicals. Even when we concentrate on born-again evangelicals, there are plenty of nonwhite Americans. In fact, nearly 40% of born-again evangelicals nationwide are not white. This includes nearly 20% who are African American. (In a Democratic primary, the majority of born-again evangelicals are nonwhite.)
Simply put, Trump's not popular with nonwhite born-again evangelical voters. His approval rating with them was a mere 29% in an average of April and May CNN polls. Among African American born-again evangelicals, Trump's average approval rating was just 7%. These figures are pretty much unchanged from the percentage of these groups who voted for Trump in 2016, according to the Cooperative Congressional Election Study (CCES). When you combine white and nonwhite born-again evangelicals, Trump currently has an approval rating in the high 50s. That's certainly higher than his overall approval rating in the...

Yeah right! Keep Dreaming Harf!
Now, there is religion, and there is religiosity, and altogether different and much more toxic form of ideology that seems to affect persons afflicted with some kind of mental disorder, setting themselves up as the final and incontestable arbiter of any and all forms of “morality”.
This “command and control” mentality does not, in fact, require a supernatural being as its center of power, but in the scheme of things, to only borrow the power of divinity, and thus secure a great deal more leverage over the hopes and aspirations of individuals and society as a whole.

Middle East is -——NOT———— pulling crap that they did under obama
The Rats have never been able to attract real religious voters. And the depth of their evil becomes deeper every years. So unless you are both “religious” an a baby killer supporter, you aren’t going to vote for them.
Anything that comes from CNN is as big a corrupt lie as anything that comes out of the mouth of any democrat. They are one in the same
Boy, CNN has sure hit the ground running in 2020 haven’t they?
God made ALL races of people. All of them. What matters to God is whether or not you have accepted His Son. When that happens, the Holy Spirit dwells within you. Spiritual discernment yields discernment in every facet of life.
I don't care what race you are - but if you claim to be an blood bought saint who has accepted Jesus Christ, and you support the Left, Marxism, abortion, LBGTQ+, a hatred of Jews and Israel - then I highly, highly doubt you are a true Christian. Only God can make that call, but Christ told us this:
"For every tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush."
Luke 6:44
Folks, does CNN stand for Christian Never News. Once again they are organizing trying to divide Americans.
Proverbs 6:16-19
Don’t try to sow discord among the brethren, CNN
CNN grasping for straws.
This statistic is pretty meaningless without a comparison to his approval rating among all nonwhites.
CNN’s lips are moving again; we all know what that means.
“Left-handed one-legged lesbians with a college degree and more than three cats east of the Mississippi stand against Trump, or at least lean against Trump, by more than 70% when surveyed on a Wednesday.”
Stupid poll. Election day is always Tuesday.
[grin]
Non-election years- Religious people are idiots who believe in fairy tales.
Elections years- Our Faith Foundations help us through our tough times...pull Tony Campolo, Jim Wallis, and the other useful idiots out of Soro's religion box to be used for this election cycle...only to be put back in when the election is over.
They really don’t understand us, do they.
Another favorite trick of theirs is to ALWAYS lump black and Hispanic Catholics who voted overwhelmingly RAT (even if they are secular and non-church going, basically only "Catholic" on paper) in with "the Catholics" as a whole, so can say Catholicism is so liberal and socialist, and claim "the Catholics" are a puppet of the Democrat Party.
But whatever they talk about "the Evangelicals" as a whole, they NEVER lump non-white Evangelicals in with American "Evangelicals" as a whole. After all, non-white Evangelicals vote overwhelming RAT just like non-white Catholics do, so including them as part of the Evangelical community would mean that all "Evangelicals" do NOT vote GOP or support Trump, and we can't have that. Plenty of professed born again, saved, fundamentalist "Evangelicals" voted straight party RAT in the black community, but the media never talks about them (You won't see headlines like "80% of the Evangelicals we polled in Harlem say they will vote for any Democrat who runs against Trump").
Nice double standard.
They have Nancy Pelosi's vote tied up. She hates babies more than she loves God.
We can't say the have no standards...
The world cannot act cooperatively through communism because failures pile upon each other, disincentivising cooperative behavior and incentivizing selfish behavior. It never has worked and it never will work.
The only system whereby the world can act cooperatively is Christianity. The problem there is that not everyone wants to be a Christian. Even with that being true, though, the altruism from a limited number of Christian’s has beaten communism again and again.
Capitalism is a tool that libertarians tried to turn into a religion. Communism is a religion, Christianity is a religion. The battle is between Christianity and communism. Capitalism is a tool, and a great tool as long as you dont try to imbue it with supernatural characteristics. Christianity is not dependent upon it to exist so if communism destroys capitalism, it still has not won. It will be eaten alive by the Christians just like worthier Rome was. Sorry/not sorry to burst the Lefts bubble.
Arrest them for attempted straw possession!
