The Trump cover-up is unfolding before our eyes

(CNN)Last week, we got a small but tantalizing glimpse of the explosive cache of documents that the White House has tried to keep hidden from public view. They detailed the Trump administration's withholding of foreign aid to compel Ukraine to investigate one of the President's political rivals. It was a stark reminder that the administration is keeping vital information away from Congress and the public by stifling key witnesses who have firsthand knowledge of President Donald Trump's dealings with Ukraine.

Indeed, this is a cover-up, unfolding right before us.

The New York Times reported this week that, in late August, Trump met in the Oval Office with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, then-national security adviser John Bolton and Secretary of Defense Mark Esper. The purpose of the meeting, according to the Times: to convince Trump that releasing the held-back foreign aid to Ukraine was "in the best national interests of the United States." Pompeo, Bolton and Esper reportedly "tried but failed" in their mission. Here are a few things about this August meeting that cannot be reasonably contested, regardless of political ideology. The meeting was important to the overall Ukraine timeline. At that meeting, Trump discussed with his key advisers whether to release the foreign aid to Ukraine. The team of advisers urged Trump to do so, but he refused.

Whatever was said at that meeting is crucial evidence of Trump's plan and intent regarding Ukraine, for better or for worse. Pompeo, Bolton and Esper all know what happened during that meeting. And all of them have, in one form or another, honored Trump's blanket instruction to executive branch officials not to testify.

It is precisely because of the crucial missing evidence that we need a real trial in the Senate...

The cnn is the homeless guy in cali who earlier this year dumped a bucket full of his liquefied sh** on an innocent, passing-by woman. Ignore these perverted losers.

The President of the United States meeting with advisors to investigate the pilfering billions of taxpayer dollars is not a crime.
Of course cnn and the rest of the never Trumpers have never accepted him as a legitimate President so they think a citizen trying to protect American taxpayer dollars is wrong.
Durham must be getting real close with the real crime of the century, the ongoing attempted coup.
Notice how the cries of Russia,Russia,Russia have been relegated to the ash heap of history, the corruption of the democrat party and the communist media knows no bounds,I just hope President Trump has ads that lay all this out

Rat media telling the Rat politicians what their strategy should be, through ‘journalism’. These are kind of like coded messages, except they are direct ‘orders’ really. The coded part of the message is that this is ‘opinion’ or an ‘editorial’ etc..

The CNN mouthpieces of the Deep State are still pushing their fantasy that President Trump is covering something up.

Well if he was covering anything up the Congressional Rats would have found it and they found nothing. That was after preventing the Republicans from asking questions and denying them to call witnesses to prove the Witnesses that Rats relied on were either uninformed or lying like hell.

It’s too bad these propaganda outlets couldn't’t be prosecuted for abusing their first amendment rights.

I’m still waiting to hear what crime Trump allegedly committed. CNN still hasn’t told us what he did wrong.

Even everything in their report is true, it still doesn’t rise to the level of an impeachable offense. There’s no bombshell here.

And Democrats don’t get a do-over in the Senate.

"We have no evidence, therefore there must be a trial."

Exactly. The House could've gone to the courts as it did in Nixon. The House refusing to give POTUS his day in court over subpoenas became basis for one article of impeachment. It's absurd on its face.

I had transgressed "The Unwritten Law"

What had he done?

Er... well he didn't tell me that, but he gave me his word that it was the case, and that's good enough for me with old Dinsy. I mean, he didn't *want* to nail my head to the floor. I had to insist. He wanted to let me off. He'd do anything for you, Dinsdale would.

I thought sure CNN’s new year’s resolution would be to start the year off trying something completely new- “Telling the Truth for once”

But nope- I see they didn’t make that resolution- same old lies and BS

House Democrats could have waited for the courts to decide the issue of executive privilege.

But that interfered with their partisan need to impeach the President at all costs.

So they have a turd impeachment on their hands they’re in no hurry to try. They voted for it, they own it.

We’d be happy if they never send their articles of impeachment over to the Senate. Its the Mother of all Seinfeld impeachments.

Not sure why they think they have leverage withholding something we don’t want. Let the Democrats go fly a kite.

A great example of circular reporting. Don’t report evidence. Just broadcast what other left wing media hacks are reporting

Hi. Happy New Year.

“It is precisely because of the crucial missing evidence that we need a real trial in the Senate...”

Doesn’t the CNN editors read this stuff before printing?

I have no doubt that President Trump discussed the advisability of sending aid to Ukraine for a variety of reasons with his close advisers. This is a normal part of any administration. What is ridiculous is to think that this discussion would be about his personal political objectives to get Joe Biden. Even if this was the case, however, it would still just be privileged communication with his staff.

The fact that there is no evidence that such discussion was communicated to the Ukrainians makes this charge moot. The testimony of Trump’s advisers would have no bearing on the facts in the case and would probably be excluded by a judge as not pertinent to the charge.

Yet it's Joe Biden that we actually have on video doing what they are trying to accuse Trump of.

Fact is, they give a billion to Ukraine, they make his family rich. He needs to be in prison.
