We’re Getting a Clearer Picture of the Climate Future — and It’s Not as Bad as It Once Looked

For once, the climate news might be better than you thought. It’s certainly better than I’ve thought.

You may not have noticed it, amid the flood of bad news about the “Emissions Gap” and the collapse of the COP25 climate conference in Madrid, but over the last few weeks a new narrative about the climate future has emerged, on balance encouraging, at least to an alarmist like me. It is this: As best as we can understand and project the medium- and long-term trajectories of energy use and emissions, the window of possible climate futures is probably narrowing, with both the most optimistic scenarios and the most pessimistic ones seeming, now, less likely.

That narrowing contains both good and bad news — what was recently the best to hope for now seems vanishingly unlikely, and what was the worst to fear much less likely, too. But let’s start with the good news, since there is typically so little of it.

A few weeks ago, the International Energy Agency released its annual World Energy Outlook 2019. The IEA is not known to be optimistic, at least to climate advocates, who have, for years, mocked its projections for future renewable growth: Every year, the agency basically predicts a plateau for renewable use, and every year renewables keep dramatically growing. This made the most noteworthy prediction in this year’s report even more so. According to the IEA report, given only current carbon policies, which nearly everyone studying climate considers terribly weak, the world is on track for about 3 degrees Celsius of warming by 2100, which could, if existing pledges were implemented, be brought down as low as 2.7 degrees — about one and a half degrees less warming than is suggested by the U.N.’s IPCC reports in ...

I have to wonder why they invested so much time and money on this global warming business when it is clear that a majority of Americans are unwilling to give up their fossil fuels. If I were a soulless commie bureaucrat and I saw the American people weren’t believing my lie I would come up with a different lie, not double down on the first lie.

11.12 years Huh? The age of the Earth is estimated to be 4.54 ± 0.05 billion years (4.54 × 109 years ± 1%). This age may represent the age of the Earth’s accretion, of core formation, or of the material from which the Earth formed.

The climate is like a pendulum.

It has swings of colder than average and then swings the other direction towards warmer weather.

The pendulum will be headed back towards colder weather soon.

Yep, democrat drama queens give us 11.12 years to live... so I guess it doesn’t matter if temperatures go up 2 or 3 degrees in the next 80 years.

It’s all O-VAR!

They are not waking up. They are rapidly approaching meaningless “deadlined,” and have to push them back a bit as has been done more than once already. They just change the date of the apocalypse and never mention that once it was last Wednesday while now screaming that it is next year.

That maybe true, But if that majority doesn't vote, you get the liberal/radical Dims in power and they pass laws that restrict fossil fuels in favor of whatever the flavor of the year is.

That happened here in New Mexico in 2018 when the Rats took control of both the legislature and governor's office. The first thing they did was to legislate fossil fuel electric generation illegal with a cut off date in 20 years. This with a state that is #3 in oil and natural gas production. Already windmills and solar panels are polluting the landscape throughout the state much more than a temporary oil drilling rig in the oil patch. And to further emulate California and now Virginia, they have enacted what they say is their first phase of gun control (total background checks for any private gun sales and partial red-flag seizures) . The second half of the Gov's agenda on gun control starts with the legislature next month.

If you bitch but don't bother to step up at election time, you deserve what you get. And the Dems are making it even harder for us to win going forward with new or planned laws on voter registration, voter harvesting and similar tactics to put Pubs behind on election day.

They aren’t even fossil fuels. Methane is found elsewhere in the universe.

World-wide climate related deaths are down 99.9% since 1932

https://www.cato.org/blog/one-statistic-climate-catastrophists-dont-want-you-know

Practically every aspect of life is unchanged or has has gotten slightly better because of “climate change.” Pracically no aspect has worsened.

[[so what happens in 1007 years...?]]

IF The Tribulation starts tomorrow- We will have 1007 more years on earth to go

7 years of tribulation, and a 1000 year reign of Christ where all nations obey Him- then God steps in and creates a new heaven and a new earth

We very likely though have even more than 1007 more years- maybe 1000’s more- who knows- but at a very minimum, we have 1007 more years to go on THIS earth
