The clash in Virginia over gun control has reached a new level, with proponents of a gun sanctuary movement urging active resistance to Democratic proposals in Richmond, citing the arguments that led to the American Revolution.
Resistance to illegal and unauthorized government acts is not new, said two leaders of the movement in noting the decisions by the Founding Fathers to sign the Declaration of Independence that challenged Great Britain and King George III.
This doctrine is, in fact, foundational to our form of government. Indeed, the Declaration of Independence is a document of interposition, between the American colonists and a tyrannical King George III. Its signatories the peoples representatives pledged to one another our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor, believing that they most likely would be tried and executed for treason against the crown, said the new memo from the Virginia Citizens Defense League and the Virginia-based Gun Owners of America Inc.
Their 12-page memo was both in defense of the state gun sanctuary movement that has been adopted by 114 counties and communities and a challenge to the opinion of Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring that the sanctuaries have no legal effect.

Phil Van Cleave VCDL (@VCDL_ORG) December 24, 2019 The movement sweeping Virginia has in less than two months become the national model for fighting gun control. In November, the Democrats took control of the state legislature and, backed by Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam, have offered several gun control proposals.
In reaction, gun owners have flooded into county and city meetings to demand that their representatives approve sanctuary resolutions to ignore gun control laws, similar to how immigration sanctuary resolutions work.

Perhaps they should call themselves “The Resistance.” Has a nice ring to it.
Woke Gun Owners!
As Ive said before, the fuse has been lit. Let the Left believe their own propaganda one more time about gun control.
Theyll learn all about how we control guns quite soon.
Captain John Parker, Lexington Militia, April 19, 1775:
“If they mean to war, let it begin here.”
Declaration of the Causes and Necessity of Taking Up Arms. The Declaration of the Causes and Necessity of Taking Up Arms was a document issued by the Second Continental Congress on 6 July 1775, to explain why the Thirteen Colonies had taken up arms in what had become the American Revolutionary War.
I think its at this level only b/c the govt is threatening violence against gun owners.
I live in virginia and just purchased an ar gun and I didn’t care to much about having one, but because they want to ban them I figured I ought to have one. there will be and should be resistance!
20 years ago,, it was about bucket brigades..
Now, after a continual assault on the 2nd Amendment,, it may well have morphed into bullet brigades, inspired by ‘black-faced’ politicos who pretend to be something they are not, freedom loving.
When supposed ‘law&order’ candidates support the insanity unfolding in Virginia and elsewhere, it does not bode well for the rest of the nation.
Hell yeah. Taking the firearms by King George led to the start of the FORMER Revolution.
They need to quickly organize get at least a million people to march on Richmond. Leave the guns at home for now.
Is anyone challenging the constitutionality of this? Is this not the reason for the NRA?
The State of Virginia’s government is a GEORGE SOROS EXPERIMENT to be soon tried on the ENTIRE COUNTRY if the people don’t STOP IT.
I’m also wondering why the NRA has been so silent on this issue.
Have they gone full RINO?
Get training and spend time at the range.
The protest is planned during MLK day.
If I was trying to get team blue to support an armed suppression of white gun owners, I would arrange for a protest on MLK day that could be false flagged into some sort of incident, setting off riots in major cities around the land.
I don’t know what knuckle head set this up, but I bet he has a .gov email.
“If a law is unjust, a man is not only right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so.”
The NRA is fighting for its life in occupied New York. Mainly because the leadership is extorting funds.
That being said, none of the gun rights groups are saying much. Either they are being silenced on social media, or they are very suspicious
