President Donald Trump continued his campaign against windmills on Saturday, issuing one of the most detailed takedowns to date of one of the environmentalist’s favorite forms of energy.

In a speech to Turning Point USA activists in Palm Beach Florida, the president mocked the idea of a windmill-driven economy proposed by Democrats promoting the “Green New Deal” in Congress and on the presidential campaign trail.

I don’t know about ironic, but the fission produces heat to boil the liquid in the turbine, (could be water like you said, for hundreds of years but could also be a salt or metal and the fission reactor could be gen 4 with its automatic ability to shut down if anything goes wrong. I would say nuclear is the energy of the future like coal fired turbines were the system of the past.

you can scram (shut down) the reactor, but you can't stop the nuclear reaction immediately. so it continues to produce heat which eventually melts the fuel rods which further impede the coolant which exacerbates fission which...
