Former Arizona GOP Sen. Jeff Flake issued a scathing rebuke of those in his party who stand with President Trump during his impeachment.
Flake, 56, who did not run for reelection in 2018, published an op-ed titled, "Jeff Flake: The president is on trial. So are my Senate Republican colleagues," in the Washington Post on Friday.
"As we approach the time when you do your constitutional duty and weigh the evidence arrayed against the president, I urge you to remember who we are when we are at our best. And I ask you to remember yourself at your most idealistic," Flake wrote. "We are conservatives. The political impulses that compelled us all to enter public life were defined by sturdy pillars anchored deep in the American story."

You can tell when the heat is on Mittens and his kids in Ukraine. All the Flakes come to their aid.
The leftest lesbian who took his place in the senate is actually a thousand times better than Flake.
Let that statement sink in. It shows how utterly bad and evil Flake was for “conservatives”.
The mailman Kasich is the other one who needs to feel eternal pain for the damage he has caused conservatives.

Please please please just another15 minutes of fame! Please please PLEASE!
The thing is that any conservative that could be impacted would not trust anything from the WaPost.
So what is his objective on being used by liberal media
ex-Sen. Dandruff
Flake needs to look into a mirror. He is the one blind to the truth.
Why even waste energy talking about someone as irrelevant as this?
ExSenator Jeff Flake is a flake.
Flake never accomplished anything in the Senate, he even flunked potty training.
Time to grow up Flakey.
A pathetic cry for attention from a Trump-hating has-been.
“Flake wrote. We are conservatives.”
On other sites I sometimes run into the people who say something like “I’ve always voted Republican, but no way I’m voting for Trump next year”.
Obviously there’s a chance that they’re telling the truth, but if that were the case for anything more than a tiny number of people, Trump’s support from the Republican base would be falling, instead of rising. Also, they usually have some vile comment to say about Trump, but never about the Democrats, so that too gives them away.
In any case, I blast them as flat-out liars, although I don’t quite use that terminology. It’s obvious why they’re doing it (astroturfing)...and we should never let them get away with it.
Likewise, Rush had what he calls ‘Seminar Callers’, back in the early 90s, who claimed to be fed up with Bush Sr. He called them ‘Seminar Callers’ because they literally attend seminars on how to troll conservatives! He still gets them once in a while, but now he smells them out about 5 seconds after the call starts and has fun with them.
I would think the proper appellation is “failed”
The failed senator Jeff flake was unable to get reelected. He is bitter in his failure that results from inadequacy to satisfy his voters. Flake is a failed loser.
Absolutely right, Jeff!
Trump has committed the worst crime imaginable: He has punctured the pretense of the smug, arrogant, bloated establishment.
Jeff Flake: The Congress is on trial, actually.
Wonder what Flake & Familys $$$ connections and associations are, dont we?
Flake is once again living up to his name. FLAKE.
Flake would be proud and happy if the GOP nuked itself. That’s what removing Trump would do.
True. People who call themselves republicans but say they won’t vote for President Trump means they are really democrats.
Occasionally I muster up my courage and watch a few minutes of cnn and msnbc. They always quote “prominent Republicans” like Chuck Hagel, John Kasich, David Jolly etc.
They aren’t Republicans, Jim.
