House Democrats now have the votes to impeach President Donald J. Trump on Wednesday, the Wall Street Journal reported late Monday.
The Wall Street Journals Siobhan Hughes, Lindsay Wise, and Natalie Andrews wrote Monday evening:
By Monday afternoon, at least 18 from the 31 Democratic-held districts that Mr. Trump won in the 2016 presidential race had announced they would support the abuse-of-power and obstruction of Congress charges, according to a Wall Street Journal survey, with two saying they are opposed.
In other words, given the recent surge over the weekend into early this week of announcements of support for Articles of Impeachment from a number of vulnerable House Democrats who had been holding out until now, the Democrats have crossed the threshold necessary to impeach the presidentbarring any unforeseen surprises.

Cowards-all of them.
Do they really think they can grab control of the US and the country will just sit back and say thank you ?
and this is why Trump needs to stop mocking people about their physical characteristics, like being short, and other things like having trouble with their dentures. He loses many people with those unnecessary attacks. Attacking their terrible policies is a winning strategy. Mocking personal characteristics is a loser.
President Trump has repeatedly said that he will make sure this never happens again to a president. I’m looking forward to him keeping his oath on this ... and I have no doubt that he will.
Yes, and...?
Is there still gambling going on at Rick’s?
Could this just be political? /s
This whole affair may sacrifice the future of our nation. Now impeachment is so cheap we can expect it on a regular basis. What good will come out of this?
Oh, please. There is nothing about this silly charade that isn’t already known to anyone who wants to find out about it.
As it turns out, the House was going to impeach Trump come hell or high water. Nancy Pelosi admitted as much a few days ago when she publicly stated that the process has been going on for two and a half years.
Not really. when you add up the those not paying and those choosing not to face the ugly truth that the ongoing coup is bipartisan in nature it vastly outnumbers those gathering their own facts on the coup. The Dems always fully intended to impeach Trump. The GOP Senate has been nothing but be supportive of those efforts. Graham has promised numerous time to investigate the Deep State coupists and never has. In fact he has aided and abetted them. Now he hides behind Horowitz and continues to do nothing.
Dead people walking.
I really really doubt they will be punished at the ballot box!
That was a forgone conclusion with the results of the 2018 midterm elections. Had they had control in 2016, they would have impeached him 3 times by now.
They will, just like 2019 votes did to Labour in Britain.
They are welcomed to try, then we respond.
From your keyboard to many ears/eyes...
I thought Trump’s not impeached UNLESS AND UNTIL THE SENATE ALSO VOTES TO IMPEACH****
The house impeaches. That’s their part of the process of removing a president.
The Senate has nothing to do with impeaching.
The House “charges” the president with the “crimes.”
Similar to a District Attorney charging someone with a crime.
Then it goes to “court” where there is a trial.
The ‘court’ in this case is the Senate.
The House is through with it now, it’s in the Senate where the ‘trial’ is held.
If the Trump team wants to, they can present a motion to dismiss.
Then it can be dismissed, or if the ‘Judge’ doesn’t accept that motion it goes to trial.
The Senators are the ‘Jury’ but I believe they can question witnesses.
Anyway, that’s my take on it...
Remember members of the house do not represent the voters, they represent the lobbyist that pay them.****
Yep, good point.
#Swamp dwellers. If they want to stay, it’s lockstep all the way.
Clinton was impeached 12/19/98
They have the votes to file false charges.
Then they will have to live with the consequences.
