Just days before the House of Representatives is expected to vote, President Donald Trumps approval rating is at its highest point ever and a slim majority of voters remain opposed to impeachment, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released Monday.
Voters views on impeachment remain unchanged from last weeks poll, when 51% of voters said that Trump should not be impeached and removed from office, while 45% said that he should be impeached and removed. That poll was the first time since the inquiry began that more than half of registered voters indicated opposition to impeachment.
The poll was released the day the House Judiciary Committee released its report on the impeachment inquiry, in which it laid out its argument that Trump abused the power of his office. A House debate and vote on impeachment will likely occur Wednesday.
A 50-year low unemployment rate coupled with stocks hitting record highs are adding up to a rosy view of the economy and voters feeling optimistic about their own personal finances. That view of a strong economy seems to be helping President Trump match his highest job approval rating since being elected, despite facing becoming the third president in U.S. history to be impeached this week, said Quinnipiac University Polling Analyst Mary Snow. ...

I didn’t realize that the definition of ‘slim’ was 6%........!
And SCOTUS has set precedent in that then years ago Dems wanted the Nixon tapes, the co equal Executive branch said no, SCOTUS as the arbiter said release the tapes.
Dems now want the Executive to release certain documents and the WH to obey subpoenas.
But Dems now are going against the courts, going against precedent, and going against SCOTUS and rushing forward with obstruction charges anyway when they took a month off one time and more than one week off at least three other times and they could emergency appeal this.
Every day they surprise me how disconnected the headline is from the information in the story
How many of those yes votes are lying to a pollster? Answer: another 10-20% oppose impeachment and would rather have the voters decide about it next November.
Exactly. Any number over 50% in the opposite direction would have been front-page news in the MSM. The DEMs want as much of the narrative in their direction to support what is already a foregone conclusion: impeachment passing the House.
6 percent is SLIM HERE!!!
IF IT WAS hillary’s lead in the election, it would be HUGH and SERIES!!! :)
Partisan Media Shills update.
Only when it involves Trump
6% isn’t bad these days, heck if a dem had a 6% lead in an election, the Fake News Media would call it a landslide
I would think the majority of people who think he shouldn’t be impeached are voting for him.
And a minority of people who think he should ARE voting for him. A SMALL number, but some im sure.
That’s great news for Trump
Slim? The definition swings like a weathervane according to the polls, especially the leftists’ polls.
Doesnt matter..Commies want POWER..they dont want people voting in elections anymore..in fact, they no longer want elections..they just want to cease power and that’s it..dont like it, tough cookies
Of course. They know their one shot in hell is to gin up as much momentum as they can going into 2020, because their pathetic little House majority is going to evaporate in eleven months. And Trump Part II is going to be an apocalypse for them. The lead felons in this travesty will be seeing the gallows pole in their futures. And I have no sympathy.
Well Its not 6%. 45% of likely voters do not want this BS impeachment. Bank it.
So, 45% of those who have heard lies want Trump impeached but the Senate wants 67% of Senators to vote to impeach.
6% difference if it was the other way would be reported as a huge 12% more having the desired view than those having the opposing view.
Did anyone check the demographic skew on these numbers? You betcha it wasn’t 50/50.
“...a slim majority of voters remain opposed to impeachment (51% to 45%)...”
In that vein, there’s a hell of a lot of biased editorializing goin’ on!!!...but then, that’s Quinnipiac for you. What else have they?
In political terms, that is not slim, it’s a firm majority.
