The dems have not even charged the president of committing a specific crime and they have submitted no evidence of any crime.
The accused does not have to present any exculpatory evidence nor does he have to prove his innocence.
No crime, no case.
The senate should just dismiss it.

Sorry, Senate Republicans told him to syuff it.
“The jury does not get to call witnesses.”
But the defendant does.
The senate should request DOJ to launch an immediate criminal investigation against Pelosi, Schiff and Nadler for abuse of office, high crimes and misdemeanors by creating a false case and obstructing the opposition from hearing and seeing their so called key witnesses.
Don’t let these scum just walk away.
POTUS is the boss of the state dept and is in charge of foreign policy.
The Senate should do something more then just dismiss it- they should send it right back to the house and ask them to specifically state what crimes were committed before they will even accept it.

Since the House hasn't voted on the articles of impeachment yet, why doesn't Schumer just give his list to Nadler or Schiff and have the House committees call these witnesses now, since the Democrats control the House and calling these witnesses would be guaranteed?
The answer is that it is part of the Democrat strategy to control the narrative and pressure the Republicans. It does the Democrats no good to call these witnesses in the venue they control. They need the optics of calling them in the Republican-controlled Senate.
If the situation were really as dire as Nadler said it was that they can't wait for the election, then he should call Schumer's witness now while he controls the process.
But it's not, and they won't, because it's all an election ploy and not really about Presidential abuse of power.

Not just Chucky - the Senate should, upon receiving the House’s impeachment, make a major, public statement that they have indeed received the House’s action and set out clearly what the charges are. And emphasize in large print just what infractions have been proved beyond any doubt. Since there are none, the Senate could just refuse to proceed until or unless the House comes up with a Constitutionally cited infraction. Send it back with great fanfare!!
I don’t have a personal opinion on how to handle it, but they’ll scream cover-up however its done. Doesn’t matter.
Truth and facts do not matter. The left just wants to plant the seeds in the stupid first time voters who were born after 9/11 and the millions of illegals.
If there is no crime, “impeachment” is unconstitutional, and the Supreme Court should declare it so.
best action is for the Senate to simply say “what crime” and require the house to re-vote on it
